I bought the 2 for 1 Total relaxation Package as a Mothers day present for myself and Mum. The spa is part of quite a big, modern building which also has a restaurant, gym, pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and. The spa is upstairs while the pool etc is all downstairs and as this is clearly some people's regular gym and we felt a bit out of place going up the stairs in big white fluffy robes. The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi were near the pool as one would expect. We inadvertently went during half term and there were quite few kids running around so it wasn't quite the relaxing atmosphere I was expecting. The changing rooms were full of useful facilities including GHDs, cotton buds, a mini tumble drier (yes seriously) and a stand-up sun tan booth (which you could buy a token for).
The spa area is cosy and much more what I was expecting, the therapists very polite. From the picture on the website I was expecting our massages to be in the same room but we weren’t. It wasn’t a major drama but it made it feel more individual. The massage itself was excellent and thorough.
It was an enjoyable experience overall and Mum had a good time which was the main thing.
