The Bodyworks Practice uses a closed hydrotherapy system, which means the treatment uses the natural flow of gravity to feed the water through the bowel. The equipment used by all colon hydrotherapists is fully disposable.

Your therapist will stay with you throughout the treatment, massage your abdomen and offer advice to further increase your health and the results of the treatment. At times, your therapist may use additional aids such as coffee, herbs or good bacteria Implants to ensure you are getting the best possible treatment.
After the treatment your bowel is better able to eliminate waste and work efficiently. Your skin will feel enriched immediately and you will instantly feel a sense of clarity.
Treating bowel problems has a very high priority tag at The Bodyworks Practice and colonic irrigation prevents far more distress than most people are aware of. One or two treatments may not cure all. It is normally recommended that you carry out a course of treatments to begin with. The first few can be close together so the bowel can continuously be soaked. Then treatments can be spaced out accordingly to ensure that colon functions with ease.

The Bodyworks Practice is proud to have therapists registered under ARCH - Association and Register of Colon Hydrotherapists and GNC General Naturopathic Council, working with them. This means that you, the public, can be assured that you are receiving a high standard level of treatment every time and that the registered therapists have met all the training pre-requisites. The practice is inspected at regular intervals and the registered therapists have undertaken CRB Police checks and undertake regular continuous Professional Development to deliver the best possible treatment, safely and effectively.
contraindications: active infections, active inflammation (such as diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), a painful fissure or painful haemorrhoids mean treatment cannot be comfortably carried out until they are healed or in remission.
Diseases such as congestive heart disease, severe uncontrolled hypertension, severe anaemia, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, severe haemorrhaging,long term steroid use and colo-rectal carcinoma are also absolute contra-indications for treatment as are some physical conditions such as severe abdominal or inguinal hernias which cannot be easily reduced.
Treatments are also not performed during pregnancy
