The hotel sits just off the high street, and all the amenities are within walking distance.
We arrived and parked in the spacious hotel car park an hour early, but our room was ready and within minutes we were booked in. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and smartly dressed.
Our room was immaculate and very well presented with a lovely Scottish theme.
We used the spa facilities late afternoon, being regular gym users we did find the gym poor and unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of order, which was disappointing. However, the sauna, steam room and pool were spotless and very inviting.
The dining room was very spacious and the Scottish theme continued, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The evening set menu had a good and varied selection and for a small supplement you could choose from the a la carte menu. The food was very well presented and delicious. The following morning, breakfast consisted of a large selection of serials, fruit juice, fresh fruit, yoghurts as well as tea/coffee toast with a selection of cooked breakfast’s to choose from.
My husband used the spa facilities while I was being pampered. My therapist was very enthusiastic, well organised and the treatment room had a lovely ambiance with relaxing music. Starting with a back massage and followed by a facial, the Elemis product’s smelt wonderful. Both my treatments were excellent and I felt totally relaxed.
The whole experience was great and we would definitely use this hotel and spa again.
