I went between Christmas and New Year so it was very quiet and the staff weren't rushed off their feet so hard to judge it in some ways, but nothing to complain about.
They were very accommodating on the phone when arranging an appointment, even when i needed to change it, it was no bother. And there was none of the voucher snobbery/limited time slots nonsense a lot of salons restrict you with.
Ambiance was nice and relaxed but trendy. I had scrapped my unwashed hair into a ponytail that morning but I didn't feel intimidated by the setting or staff. In fact they were very friendly (especially the girl who washed my hair) but also took the hint if you'd rather read a magazine while having your hair cut.
I got a really great cut - that is still working for me some weeks later - at a great price.
I was offered a hot drink, a head massage and encouraged to pop in for free fringe trims. Can't ask for more really.
Oh and the stylist - Jodie - when finishing up asked if I usually used straightners, I don't, and it's refreshing to be given the choice! Too many flat-iron happy stylists out there sometimes!
Great little salon in a cool old building behind the corn exchange, will be going back.
