Hmmm... I was hoping for a good work out, especially sicne there were only four of us in the class. The upside is that this work out is taylored to suit each participant, the downside is that a lot of time is being waisted on explaining each participant the proper way of doing each exercise. I definitely didn't get value for money here and won't be going back...

I have been to Kinesis and really liked it. I think the type of pilates they do is a more traditional pilates style which is focused on correct movement rather than cardio workout. Even though I did not break sweat, at the end of my session I really felt it in my core muscles and felt my posture was much improved. I guess it really depends on what kind of pilates specifically and exercise in general you are looking for.

We do have classes at Kinesis where we tailor each exercise to the individual. These are for anyone with a condition which would not be best served in a more homogenous group class. People choose them so they can work on what they need or like. But if you're new and uninjured you're better in a class where everyone does the same exercise at once so you don't have to wait for instruction. Either way though, we'll never think that making sure that participants are doing exercises correctly is a waste of time.
