After my first successful visit to Destination Skin and being told that a skin peel would be a great treatment for my skin, I decided to revisit and try out a peel as I have never had one before! The therapist was very informative and explained each step of the procedure and what she was putting onto my skin. As it was my first peel, it was quite a mild one, which stung at first and then burnt a little after that. A cooling mask was put onto my skin for about 30 minutes, which I found quite boring, as I was just left to relax. All in all I was left with fresh glowing skin, with no irritation or redness and was able to go out straight away!

Hi there, I've just come back from DestinationSkin after having the Pumpkin Skin Peel. Is this what you had? Definitely stung abit - have a little irritation at the mo, but hoping that will go by tomorrow! I have booked a course of 3. Have you been back for a second yet?

Yes, I had the pumpkin peel, but have not been back since. I found the waiting around with the mask on too boring- I find it hard to relax! I am quite keen to try the microneedle treatment which is probably the next thing on my list! Let me know how your course goes, hopefully no redness tomorrow!!

Thanks, already going down - wasn't really too bad. Agree with you on the waiting time - think they should make it more comfortable when doing treatments like these. Will ask them to turn lights down a little and give me some more towels so am warm and cosy next time. I no, they don't see themselves as a spa - so not pampering, but would definitely make it a more chilled out experience. .Oooh microneedle treatment - what's that?

Great!! Perhaps a massage would make the time go a bit swifter and take your mind off the stinging!! Perhaps even taking an Ipod to listen to? I got a great head massage with my Microdermabrasion treatment. Microneedling is a roller with needles on which penetrates the skin on a deeper level stimulating the collagen. It is supposed to be an effective treatment for scarring, pigmentation, stretch marks wrinkles etc. Hopefully I'll be able to be the judge of that soon.........happy peeling.......
