Covent Garden Dental Spa

I applied for the free smile consultation at the Covent Garden Dental Spa offered through Wahanda. I wanted to find out options for teeth whitening and orthodontic treatment and I stated this in my e-mail when I arranged the appointment.

Located on Neal Street, it is behind an inconspicuous door which can be easily missed and access is granted after you press a doorbell.

The Dental spa is very nicely decorated in muted colours and made me feel like I was in a hotel lobby rather than at a dentists which helped with the nerves. The staff members were friendly and very helpful.

I was taken into one of the treatment rooms and was told that this was a consultation for teeth whitening only as the orthodontist had gone home which was a bit disappointing as I was mainly there to see about teeth straigtening. However, I received a lot of advice about the different teeth whitening options and I decided to bite the bullet and go for the take home gel whitening system as opposed to the laser whitening system. Once I had made my decision, the dental nurse took molds of my teeth and sent me on my way. It was very efficient. I had to return 10 days later to collect the molds and the whitening gel and to receive further instruction on how to use them. I was given two syringes of gel of the same concentration (both 10% rather than one of 10% and one of 16%) but they promptly sent me the 16% gel once i had informed them of the mistake. After two weeks of use, my teeth were whiter but not too white and I am happy with the results. With a charge of just £100, I thought this was very good value for money. I was also told that once you have the molds of your teeth, as long as you don't change the shape of your teeth, yo ucan use the same molds but just buy more gel at around £35.

I would have liked to have gone to the Covent Garden Dental Spa for orthodontic treatment but te orthodontist seems to finish work at 4pm and doesn't work on Saturdays so it would have been impossible for me to attend appointments as I work outside London.

If you are thinking about treatment, I would recommend applying for the free consultation which seems to be permanently advertised on Wahanda, to see what the clinic is like and to learn what your options are.
