Being a long time sufferer of acne myself (who now has clear skin) I recommend a varied approach to acne, utilizing products with benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur. Best facial treatment, however, is a "high frequency" electrical treatment, which can be used for the face and the body. An oxygenating cream is spread over the area to be treated, and then a glass probe delivering a low level of current to the skin kills bacteria in every layer of the skin! It' painless (my clients find it relaxing actually). Any blemishes can be "zapped" by lifting the probe slightly, giving the spot an extra drying effect.
It works like a charm, always. One of my clients even has said that it feels like having the skin cleaned from the "inside, out". For acne there is nothing better.
Hope this helps, Adrienne

First of all: is your skin sensitive? If the answer is YES then I'll use low % peel combine with acne facial. If its more thick and not so sensitive the peel will be stronger. Result of using peels is great. It cleanse deeply your skin, reduce pigmentation enhance the treatment and lot more. After facial I would recomend you to use sun protective creal/lotion even thre is no sun outside. Carry on with the cream every morning and evening. Depends of the skin facial can be done ones a week for two weeks and then every two weeks for 4 weeks.

Hi
It is important to keep the skin clean and well moisturised.
Avoid products with any alcohol content and dont be tempted to try and dry out the skin.
Use milk cleansers as they clean very well but also leave good moisture levels on the skin. Exfoliate twice a week with a gentle face scrub, dont use a daily scrub, this is too much for facial skin.
Use clay based masks twice a week
cleanse tone and moisturise everyday, twice a day.
I have a 16 year old daughter who has recently had acne prone skin and just putting her on these simple weekly skincare steps has made a huge difference.
Moisturise with a lotion rather then a cream in the day time, also purchase some facial rice papers, they are great for removing excess oil from the forehead and chin during the day.
If you cant afford regular facials (and lets face it not all of us can) go once and ask them to give you tips on a weekly treatment you can give your skin at home ...or emaill me, i would be happy to send you a list of types of products and a weekly routine to help you.
Eat fresh fruit and drink water a little more then you usually would..this will help cleanse the skin from the inside
Be aware of keeping your hands clean and how ,many times you touch your face....and last of all DONT WORRY ....it will pass as long as you look after you skin well :o)

Acne can be tricky but it is not necessary to suffer from this any more! Take a systematic approach and attack breakouts from all angles to gain control of your skin! Ideally you should get a skin analysis which any clinic worth its salt will offer. This will take a good look at the skin above and beneath the surface. Microdermabrasion taken in a 6 week course alternated with Salicylic Acid peels will help to rid skin of acne causes such as oil and dirt, as well as deeply stimulating cell turnover to boost healing. Maintain this at home to get maximum results - using cleansers and toners such as the Radical range from our SkinScription collection which will gently exfoliate and reduce redness and inflammation.

Thorough skin analysis followed by a Deep pore cleansing facial, including extractions (as needed), possible microdermabrasion, light chemical peel (containing salicylic acid), and high frequency. Invest in a home care product regime, from your professional, to compliment your facial treatments. Use your home care regime dailey or as per instructed. Follow up with your professional for routine facial treatments as advised.

I had acne for several years. You need different facials for different things. Micro-dermabrasion for scarring, N-lite for healing and a deep cleansing facial once a month. See my blog

Great facials for acne prone skin are microdermabrasions and glycolic acid peels. I have had great results with my clients when recommending them to use MD Formulations for 2 weeks, and then a weekly glycolic peel incl extraction for a good 6-8 weeks.
