I am not balding at the moment, but should I start using things like Rogaine, or some topical treatments or pills as a preventative measure to make sure I keep my hair? Any advice much appreciated!

Balding comes at a deeper level. Hormones play a key role in how the body maintains hair and hair strength. If Rogaine and other various treatments worked then everyone in the world who is bald wouldn't be bald. Testing hormone levels within the body is vital to internal health. This can be regulated via eating health organic foods specific for your metabolic type.
