Hi Kirby,
I know that it can be overwhelming to know where to start when wanting to lose weight. The first thing I would recommend doing is buy a pedometer (a device you put on your waist or shoe that counts your steps). Wear this for an entire day, and when you go to bed at night record how many steps you took that day. From there set weekly goals to increase the amount of steps you take each day (until you reach at least 10,000). In order to accomplish your goal you will need to start scheduling times to go for walks. Try walking for 30mins every morning before work, or every evening after work.

Once you have made walking a regular habit start looking at your diet. Try making small changes to your diet such as: fast food only 1x/wk, fruit every morning with breakfast, vegetables every evening with dinner, fried foods only 1x/wk, increase your water intake, after serving yourself pack the rest away in the fridge and don't allow yourself seconds etc.

With these small changes you will begin to see the weight come off. These techniques will get you started in the right direction, but you will need to make more drastic changes once you get into these exercise habits such as: integrating weight training (with the help of a professional), longer and more intense cardio exercise etc. I hope this helps!

One day at a time is key, if you didn't succeed yesterday, don't wait a whole week to make changes, start again now. Everyday will have some challenges, but you can overcome them. One day at a time. No need to stress anymore over weight. First and for most: You are not on any diet, anymore... It's a lifestyle modification, you need to enjoy your food and be friends with it. Your: Body, Mind and Spirit are all connected, treat it as so. Start eating more natural foods, beware of what you are putting into this amazing body, and love this body. Make friends with it. You were born with it. If you don't love it 100% you will learn slowing one day at a time to love it again, as you did when you were a child. Before you were reprogrammed with negative talk. Plan your meals, give importance to meal planning. As much money as we spend on JUNK, we can afford to treat our bodies better, with just some minor changes. First and for most start with your Mind. You have to want to really want it for it to happen. Then you will start eating better healthier foods, natural foods. Not industrial made foods, foods from a box, with high fructose syrup, and hydro anything in your food. If it's not natural why eat it. Make healthier choices,read lables it's your choice to eat better . You will want better foods as you learn to eat better. Your taste buds change.. Get involved in a hobby or sport that requires movement of your spine and limbs. For all ages make sure that you keep your spine flexible and healthy.. A strong spine is a healthy mind...a steady mind in a healthy body...
