No, the improper removal (biting them off, ripping them off, filing them off without soaking causes more damage than acrylic just being put on. Regular maintenance and removal and resting in between enhancements helps.

so long are they are applied properly without excess etching ( preping the nails prior to application), looked after while wearing, & removed correctly ( soaked off ), your clients nails will be in no worse condition than had you not applied nails. Advise client that for the first couple of days nails will feel a little soft. This is because of the hardness of the product they have been used to while wearing artificial nails.
