Eye lash extensions are beautiful if done by a fully trained individual. There are many people out there offering them who should not I the results can be disastrous. On the plus side for those who have thin or very shot lashes, they can make a world of difference and you don't have to wear mascara with them though you can. On the down side maintenance and price. The initial appointment takes about an 1hr to an1 1/2hrs as every lash is individually glued to yours, you have to go in about every two weeks for up keep. Price for good lashes starts at about $350 and goes up from there, then it's between $50.00 $100.00 every couple of weeks. When you decided to stop wearing them, be prepared for very short spars lashes until new ones grow in (similar to taking acrylics of and having thin short nails) Make sure the practitioner you choose is fully trained as there are horror stories of lashes gone wrong and injury's caused by them. You might also look into "Latisse" for growing them. Hope this helps.

It depends on which eyelash extensions you get. With the more natural lash extenions you cant wear mascara with them as it will make them more prone to fall out and weigh them down. The upkeep will be refills anything between 2-4 weeks again this depends on the type of extensions you have.

Hello,
Eyelash extensions can give you the freedom to go without mascara. You can also add mascara to them, but is not necessary. Many celebrities, busy professionals, and moms, love the red carpet look they give you, without the need to reapply them everyday! I am a trained eyelash extension technician, and see major transformations, where mascara could never take you! A full set will last you anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks. If you have regular refill appointments, ideally spaced 3 weeks apart, you can have them as long as you wish. With care, no rubbing or other aggressive habits, you can maintain a beautiful set of gorgoeus lashes!

YES! They are soooo worth it. I used to spend so much time on my mascara just for it to flake off halfway through the day or end up on my eyelids. Stuck together. Running down my face at the gym or the pool. I got my lashes done and have never been happier. I save about 15 minutes in the morning because I wake up with lashes that look like they are straight from a mascara advertisement. It does depend on the lash company and extensionist. Some of them do not have the training or the right glue. NovaLash trains extensionists across the world who have to be certified to purchase the glue/adhesive. You can find the girls in every state. You can wear mascara... I rarely need to unless its toward the end of the month and I need a fix up. I go about once a month to get them refilled... but I could definitely go longer... I just got addicted to them!

Hi Rosalyn, Great Question. Is it worth getting eyelash extensions? I think it depends on the individual, do you have short eyelashes? Do any mascara you use help you eyelash growth? How well are you with maintaing false eyelashes? Personaly I think the are great if you, if u like that more natural look. Eyelash extensions will run you $100-$300, usually takes 1-2hours depending on the salon or the professional. Yes you can where mascara there is a pre eyelash selant that a pro would put on you false extentions. After that Yes! Absolutely only a waterbase mascara, never use oil base mascara it will shorten the life of you eyelashes extentions. Finally the up keep of eyelashes extentions are every 2-4weeks which will run you about $35 a session. Thanks for you question if you have any more questions please fill free to ask. You awsesom!

NO is my answer to you. I have experienced the eye lash extensions personally and believe me it was the worst thing I did for my lashes. I suggest Latise, it will grow your lashes naturally and will look like you have fake lashes. I have people asking me if I have fake lashes on after using it for only two months. I got a great deal on them! Good luck :)

Eyelash extension, have really picked up in recent years. Some women, choose them for various reasons, mainly to enhance their own lashes as they may be short or spars, otherwise they can suit anyone who just wants a change as they really change a persons overall appearance. They beauty of eyelash extensions is that you can change the colour's and the lenghts to suit you and they can be purchased from beauty stores or be professionally placed. Some last for months and others temporary. `What ever you choose, you will have to be aware that any glueing on your own lashes either yourself or professionally, your eyelashes will be affected and you will need to look after them well when you remove the extension. Be prepared to pay up to 40- 110 pounds for eyelashes dependng on the salons you go to, or if you want to trial why not pick up false lashes from a beauty store and have a play on sticking them yourself, just to give yourself an idea on how they look and how different it is when you were them. `They may feel strange at first but you will get use to them,
The other advice is that you could have lash perming and tinting which results in your own lashes having a mascara look and cheaper.
all the best,

Hi Rosalyn
The result is most definately worth it, particularly for special occasions and holidays!
Having read the previous answers to your question there is not much more we can add apart from (in our experience) that lash extensions should be removed regularly in order to maintain the health and natural volume of your own lashes.
Many clients ask for the 'longest-lasting' lashes, which is a completely acceptable request, and this can be obtained if you indulge in the services of a trained and experienced specialist using a professional medical grade glue ... however
it is, in our opinion, better to have a lash infil around 3 weeks after initial application and then complete removal (and re-application if required) maximum 3 weeks later
We have found that clients that try to save time & money, by having regular infils without frequent removal, end up with such sparse natural lashes that they see no alternative but to have them 'put back on again' and the vicious circle begins!
