No never... You might to ask who are the trainers though as their names will tell you more about their competences and who is "behind" an "academy"

ive never heard of them either. I trained with Nouveau Contour which are fantastic. They give you quite a lot of theory work to do before you start the course, then you have a few days where you learn about the health and safety issues, blood bourne virus's and practice your drawing skills etc. Then 7 days of intense training, starting off on practice mats before going anywhere near a client. They really prepare you for working on real clients and all the training is very indepth. You have to complete case studies before being assessed and it is only then can you qualify. You can do more training on top of the basic 'Bronze' level course so that you can perfect your techniques furher, which is what I did. Looking at the SPM academy website, I am quite surprised that they do 1 and 2 day courses as I am not sure how they can fit in all you need to know about the treatments in order to carry them out safely and efficiently. i hope this helps.

hi had training with them ,trainer was good anaesthetic nurse,after care bad still trying to sort out now problem with needles fitting machine ,not all there in kit ,on going ,trying to sort out now had to buy more needles when brought extra as batch faulty needles ,but i had too buy more ,new staff , no after care take money no care after ,but my trainer was very good and helpful when she was there,still trying to sort out now ,hope this helps can any one help me ,cant complain as all numbers go same place ,manager director rude ,machine month late not right

i trained with them on the 30th september and not very impressed with them at all. i payed for the course up front in full as they said id get 10% discount. once i payed they didnt really seem that bothered..they originally booked me in for birmingham, when i rang to confirm 2 days before, she didnt even realise i was booked in on the course so had to change my appointment for a month later in liverpool. when i arrived at the hotel, the confrence room we should have been using hadnt even been confirmed. The trainer wasnt dressed very proffesionally and i found her training very amaturish and i cant honestly say ive come away learning very much. when i booked the course i assumed id leave the course with the kit i had payed for, but was told id recieve it 14-21 working days, starting from the course date, to arrive which i was not happy about. ive recieved no certificate for attending the course and no insurance certificate. i eventually recieved a parcel containing 3 needles and my spm machine. i emailed spm as no contact numbers are working to ask where the rest of my kit was, and they told me it was sent in a separate package which never arrived. since then i have tried to email and phone them numerous times but to no avail. i rang their offices in london and was told spm had left due to not paing their rent. my bank is now dealing with the situation.

Hi, SPM ACADEMY are an absolute joke! I trained with them in October paid a few thousand for my som kit, its been 5 weeks and have not had no kit sent at all! No communication with them and they also changedy course date twice! There are several girls in the same situation some have paid and not even done their course as no on was there when they turned up for it. They did used to have a good name but they sacked the girls who held the company together 7 weeks ago, since then JONATHAN KNIGHT the money grabbing director has ignored all course and run the company into the ground getting them thrown out of their main offices. I have gone to the police and trading standards as i will not let this go and will not let this prat take my money or anyone else's whilst he mooches around in his Ferrari! DO NOT TRAIN with this company!! Please everyone with a dispute report to trading standards and watch dog so we can make them pay!
Also if you have paid direct debit your bank will beable to refund you if they "Spm" took the money from your account. Of you paid money into their account you have to go to a small claims court to fight for your money back. Also the website has now been updated to say they are under construction and new management! They have time to change that but can't email everyone a simple message??? But iffy to me! Complete money grabbers! Google his dad GARY KNIGHT top scam artist! Angry i even let myself train there!!

hi hun, im having the same problem, i hope i get my money back tooo do a filler course to bett, i paid all this money to better my career and make money to find out i cant even get insured, i rung the police and got a crime reference number that may also help with your refund as they have robbed people, im so angry i let myself train here without looking into the company properly, i have been told the day before they left the romford branch they were still taking payments off people and people have been turning up for courses that dont even exist, have you called trading standards?

I trained with them last year and it was a nightmare from start to finish! I'm now still waiting on a refund for products I ordered that haven't arrived and that was over 4 months ago, I would use Finishing touches or one of the other reliable well known company's who you can trust.

Well I had a bit of nightmare as well-lucky I paid with credit card !!!!
On arrival from France-their trainer had been involved in traffic accident---but only one other trainee there !!apart from myself.
I tried to find with them a course to do in various areas of uk-but strangely all were not confirmed !!
Asked for money back--but they said will take min 2 weeks--sorry I did not trust them-so claimed back thro card
Happily have found amazing Dr in Shepherds Bush---to train withso glad now I did not take their courses--and then mess around with not getting supplies-believe the have numerous companies-- with his partner who had to leave uk,that all gone down--google and see for yourselves

Looks like the company have done lots of people over,I trained in filler with them in march but recently in October ordered some juvederm products which I've still not received,also tried calling and emailing but heard nothing back,I'm struggling now to find a supplier without prescription,can anybody help??? Does anyone also have more personnel info on the scumbags that have done this to us??? Also got a friend in the same position,they've taken her money for advanced filler course now she can't get them either!!

Hi guys pls send your emails in here so we can all sort this together! I'm so shocked at how many of us have been scammed by them! The girl i trained with has just received her kit delivered by TNT but i haven't received mine! How wierd! Also she only received 3 needles and her machine, no inks or anything! Who was your stuff delivered by? I spoke to my friends mum she is a nurse and said you legally can't buy Jueve derm without a medical certificate? If that's the case they shouldn't have even offered you the course! It's shocking! I hope we can all sort this! Pls send emails! x

I have had the same problem ... Spent thousands with them. Can't buy juverderm. Anybody know where I can get juverderm? Also they scammed me in doing the advanced fillers that was re scheduled 3 times and now they gone missing! Paid £800 ! It was £300 deposit and then the remaining was fillers that never arrived , then was told we would transfer it onto your advance course that never managed to take place as the nurse was in an accident (really) , the other time the doctor was not well, the last time didn't even notify me and I went to the course as arranged and nobody was there!!! Anyone know how we can deal with this?

I ordered £1000.00 worth of juvederm from these con artists about 6 weeks ago and no juvederm lost my money got a lawyer on to it and my bank as it wasn't a credit card x it's so diff now to get hold of juvederm but katemac 1 if I give you my email can you help ???? ta xxxx

I too have had a problem with this company - but from a different perspective. I paid £69 to be a model for eyeliner treatment. It was very amateurish, hurt like hell, took over an hour and then after a week there was nothing there to show for it! I complained and was offered a further treatment in Liverpool - I live in Birmingham! Since then I have e-mailed and written requesting my money back, with no success. I know it was only £69 but as it did not work at all, I can think of better things to do with my money. My letter to their registered office has been returned marked 'refused'.

I trained with SPM for filler and advanced filler, unable to get Juviderm or insurance, told by insurance co "unable to insure you as SPM are cowboys your certificate is useless you need to retrain. Wasted over £2000. Any help would be most appreciated ... Maggie

Hello, my name is Kelly and I was scheduled to go on a fillers course with SPM, then they became Harley Street Training, who then became Dermal Fillers Academy and then they made me pay for the whole course upfront and then cancelled the day before. Now they have gone awol.Has anyone else had this experience? The characters who appeared were first a guy called ray Mercer from SPM, then a woman called Lorraine at Harley Street Training and then a guy called David who called to say their trainer had fallen down the stairs and the course wasn't going ahead. they appear to have run off with my money. Has anyone else had a simliar experience?

I booked a course and paid in full in early Sept-travelled to uk ,I was told my hotel had been booked in Romford-well it had not been-I told that it was inclusive.
Well surprise-surprise--my trainer had had a car accident on M1-- so I and the other lady were told that we would be offered training at a later date,. which really did not suit as I had travelled from France and I had only booked for one week stay.
I was more than a little suspicious,when I asked for my money to be returned-being told it would take 2 weeks.
The other lady and I exchanged emails-she lived in London area,so she thought she would take the other course offer up--well it was always being cancelled for her or offered in Liverpool or Bham---too far away for her.she , as far as I know still trying for her money-but has got local papers inyterested in SPM.
I HAD PAID BY CREDIT CARD--SO CONTACTED THEM AND TOLD THEM i FELT IT WAS A SCAM,they used some of the info I found on internet re this company,and they agreed it was a scam,so thankfully I received my money back--but still out of pocket for hotel and air travel.
Still, I was lucky !! and later found genuine company in London and received training for Botox and Fillers,and a certified certtificate !!

Its so much money if you get it wrong! - I have heard Nouveau Contour are good -was also wondering if anyone knew anything about Adorn Makeup Academy? Would be grateful for any feedback

Beware! I "trained" with SPM Academy August 2012. They arenot accredited. The trainer "Ainsley McKenzie" did not practice appropriate hygiene, could not explain queries, all the models were unhappy with the outcomes, training resources were broken/missing/inadequate, the accommodation they arranged with a knocking shop, the venue had inadequate lighting, the certificate was a home-made photocopy, signed by a non-existent "April Wellington, Senior Course Tutor", my kit never arrived. I have had eyelash training with Nouveau Beauty Group in 2012 and intend to retrain for sp makeup with them as soon as possible. I am fortunate that I paid with my credit card so I got my cash back.

I "trained" with them in August 2013. Training was desperately inadequate, SPM are not accredited so their trainees cannot get insurance, kit was never delivered so I could not complete my portfolio, all my models have complained to SPM as the pigments disappeared within two weeks, models not received appropriate responses from SPM. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. I have had other training from Nouveau Beauty Group and will be retraining with them.

Hi can anyone get in touch regarding spm academy please be aware you will not be able get insured if you have a som certificate as no one wants to touch this company now. As for getting the money back they are now in liquidisation i cant see anyone getting any money back please be aware they have opened up under a different name on harley street.
