Usually I recommend 8 weeks for a sun kissed highlights. I recommend 6 weeks for a dramatic highlighting effect, as in chunky and streaked looks. The most important question is how fast does your hair grow? I have clients that recieve a retouch every 4 weeks because their hair grows almost an inch a month as well as those who I only retouch every 4 months because their hair grows so slowly; only a half inch every two months. You are the best judge as to how much new growth you can tolerate as well as how much your pocket book can handle.

It really depends on your hair growth and what type of application you have done...on the average about every 6 weeks.

Its good to have about 1 inch of regrowth before Highlighting ,and 1/2 inch for all over color! In most cases its around, 6 to 8 weeks, depending how you maintain your color. I hope this answers your question. I am currently takeing new clients, let me know if i can further assist you.

when you see 1 -1/12 inches of regrowth or grey hairs are stubborn and come out you might be able to just use a toner to blend them in. depending on the porosity of your hair also, i would be careful not to fry your ends.

Good afternoon :) The answer to this question depends on each individual. Since hair grows on an average of 1/2 " a month, I would suggest getting your hair coloured between 4 & 6 weeks and highlites approx. every 12 wks. I do have clients who get both services done
at once at 8 wks. Hope that helps :)

I agree with everyone else. Every 6 to 8 week depending on hair growth. For some it may be every 4 week. But most of the time the 4 weekers are all over colors and trying to hide gray.:) Hope that helps.

. I would say depending on the health of your hair would be a good marker. If your hair is dry and brittle, wait at lease 6-8 weaks before any chemical services. A protein treatment to strengthen your hair.

Depending on how fast your hair grow, and you just need and the next time you just need a retouch, lets said 4 to 6 weeks to keep it fresh looking.

When going for a certain look try to keep it maintained every 4 to 6 weeks! If you find your hair grows a little slower and you like the look of you hair then run with it! I feel if your stylist knows you and your style then shThey will keep you on a good schedule that works for you and your purse!

6-8 weeks. Do not wash your hair though, the day you are to go in for, any chemical service. Also, do not work out before, eather. Sit under, a cool dryer,BEFORE service, to close pores, on the scalp, if it is a hot day.

It all depends on the growth of your hair. It can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks. If your coloring your roots also then you can always skip a highlight in between your color services, which would also save your pocket book.

You should be able to go anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. Recommended is 8 to get good maintenance without having a string of bad hair days. If your hair doesnt grow too fast you may be able to go a week or two past that. What I recommend to my clients is to come in at about 4 or 5 weeks for a fresh trim and conditioning treatment to keep your hair in top condition since hair breaks down faster with extended periods of highlighting, It also depends on the level difference between your natural color compared to highlights and how the foils are placed. The darker your natural color is the more you will notice the growth

The more bold the hilites the more often the retouch. Example: Jessica Alba, Kelly Ripa, or Beonce will have to get there color base done at 4 weeks and hilites at 6-8 weeks. Brooke Sheilds, Catherine Zeta Jones, or Meradith from Grey's Anatomy have more natural looking hilites and will need a retouch from 8-10 weeks. If you want hilites tell your stylist what lentgth of time you would like to wait between retouches and see what she suggests

between 6 to 8 weeks depending on how light your highlights are to your new growth.

It depends on your natural color, your highlight color, your hair texture (regrowth shows less on curly hair than "flat" hair), your "root" tollerance, and your financial situation. 6 weeks is a good starting point because any sooner, there's not much regrowth to work with.

you should have your highlights done every 6-8wks, if you have more then 1/2in grow out can cause multy tone higlights and more money.

Usually clients wait until their roots just really need done. I would say more than likely every 6 weeks. You don't want to wait too long to get those roots of yours touched up!

These are the factors I look at:
1.How Fast Does Your Hair Grow?
2.What are the level differences between your natural level and the highlights?
3.What is the condition of your hair currently?
4.What is your budget?
If you hair grows fast you might be one of the many clients that come in every four weeks
If your natural level is between a 7-9 you can probably get away without have a retouch as often because the difference in your natural and the highlight won't be as drastic compared to someone who is a level 3 (dark brown) with blonde blonde highlights
If your hair is very pourous or damaged that might be something else you want to consider as well. The less you do the better, and honestly if your have any breakage from too much highlighting you might want to consider going dark, because depositing color is much less damaging for your hair verses highlights which blow the cuticle open ( remember this depends on your own hair condition, natural level, ect.)
Last but not least if your budget is the issue talk to your stylist there are color placement options that can either camflouge the roots with less foils or all together grow out less noticeably.
