First I would visit your doctor to ensure there are no medical issues. Diet most definitely affects your whole body. Ensure you are well hydrated, eat plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables and include some calcium and omega 3 in your diet. Our range of Monu facial products offer extremely effective care for severely dry, stressed skin and instantly make the skin feel more comfortable. I would recommend using natural skincare products that are paraben & perfume free. Weekly or even monthly intensive conditioning treatments would help boost moisture and restore the hair's vitality. Hope this is of help.

Hellp Rossella,
The best advice I can give you is that you should probably go and see your GP as they will be able to advise you as there could be many reasons from diet and vitamins to hormones that could be a cause of this. They will be able to recommend the best treatment for you.
Good Luck

Deficiency of the hair and nails is often indicative of deficiency in the bone structure due to malabsorption and mal-nutrition. A consultation with an Ayurvedic Specialist will bring you the necessary guidance on how you can remedy this condition with simple dietary and life style considerations. Look for Ayurvedic Specialists in your area.
All the best.

Hi,
I would suggest increasing your water intake, ensure you are drinking 2 litres per day MINIMUM, this is a minimum amount, not maximum people should be drinking, and more when it's hot or you are very active.
Also, increasing the amount of raw food in your diet. Just by making sure you eat 50% raw food at each meal will benefit your skin, nail and hair condition dramatically, plus it will increase your energy levels, stabilise your emotions and make your eyes sparkle and your hair shine. Start taking flax oil, about a tablespoon each day as this will hydrate and plump out your skin and benefit you in many other ways too.
Ditch the commercial chemical products and use natural products only, not only do commercial products contain a cocktail of harsh synthetic chemicals but most also contain alcohol in some form or another and this really strips the skin and hair of all its natural oils which is really damaging. You can make a really nourishing face mask by mashing 1/2 ripe avocado with a teaspoon of organic honey and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. mix well and leave on the skin for 15 minutes then rinse with cool water and moisturise with coconut oil or another natural moisturiser. Avocado contains lots of EFA's which are basically skin food and will nourish and condition, honey is a natural humectant which means it draws moisture from the atmosphere into your skin and ACV balances the natural PH of the skin and also dilates the capillaries which brings fresh oxygen and nutrients to the cells of the skin.
Coconut oil is an absolutely fantastic thing to use, you can use it as a deeply nourishing and hydrating moisturiser for your face and body and also a deep conditioning treatment for your hair. It's also a brilliant addition to your diet as it is the most bio available form of fat and actually very beneficial to the metabolism too.
Sorry for such an essay, hope you find the info useful.
Natalie.

I would suggest seeing a homeopath or nutritionist. In the mean time to kick start the health of your nails I would recommend Nail Tiques http://laurasmobilebeautytreats.com/blog/?p=76
Also evening primrose oil is great to moisturise the skin from within.

Dry skin and brittle nails can be caused by something as simple as dehydration. If your water intake is not high enough this most certainly shows in your skin. This is a simple change to make in your diet and one which is beneficial for your entire body. If you do not start to see an improvement after about 1 month then look into your diet. Very often even people with good nutrition can be lacking in certain vitamins as it is difficult for your body to absorb certain vitamins from food in sufficient quantities. If this is the case I would suggest looking at good quality high strength vitamins and mineral supplements. A brand called FSC is good.

Hi, if the changes that you have noticed are significant then it would be a good idea to see your doctor. Nutrition does play an important role in supporting the body so taking a high quality multivitamin supplement combined with an omega 3 one is a good place to start. Evaluating your diet and making sure that it's balanced and that you are drinking enough water can help too.
A change of products that you are using can also help, but it's you feel that it is dietary then focus on that first.

I agree with others on here, depends on your age, how long you have had these symptoms etc. a dietician would be a good call after seeing your GP as they have a better more thorough medical background than a nutritionist.

See your GP to see what advice they have to offer about your health.
Secondly i recommend you use a hair oil for your hair and apply this 2 or 3 times a week. You will saee a great difference in your hair. You can also purchase nail oils to help with the strength of your nails. I recommed solar nail oil. For your skin i would buy a cream with has moisture oils in this for extra softness.
GoodLuck!!
