Hi, A lot of waxing is often down to the technique and experience of the therapist. Strip wax is fast and works very well on large areas like the legs. Hot wax is good for strong hair in sensitive areas, such as the bikini. The warmth of the wax also opens the pores, so in theory should make the treatment less painful. For an easy professional treatment, go to a therapist who has lots of experience in brazilian waxing, as it is a more advanced area to treat.

All waxing is painful no matter whot it will stick to the skin.
Try sugaring it grips ONLY the hair, not your skin so it is less painfull .
It's water soluble so easily washes off, no sticky waxy residue left behind.
There are two methords; strip sugar for larger areas & hand sugar for hard to reach areas.

No the other way around. Hot wax is much more comfortable that strip wax on the bikini line.

Hello,
I think the pain experienced from waxing is not more or less depending on the type of wax used, but rather when you do it. As women, we experience hormonal changes during the month. Closer to the menstral cycle, you will experience more sensitivity. Take this into account when you are booking your waxing appointment, or doing it yourself. I think in terms of efficacy, hot wax (sugar, creme, honey, etc) is superior to cold waxing (pre waxed strips). Try hard wax for brazilian bikini line. Its does not leave behind a sticky, uncomfortable residue after removal.

in theory hot wax is more suitable for brazilian/bikini wax as the heat opens the hair follicle, alowing the hair to slide out, making the treatment less painfull. However hot wax is not as easily availble as it used to be and most salons use warm (strip) wax. most clients find this ok, if your worried try taking a pain killer about an hour before the treatment and go to therapist who has a lot of experience in brazillian waxing as not all courses include this in their training.
