Hi- we would recommend that all colouring services be carried out by a salon professional. At Capricorn our prfoessional colourist will be able to create your colour using Inoa- the latest innovation in colour by L'Oreal. If you wish to contact us you can call us on 01273 502052 or visit our website.

Definitely have this change done by a professional so you don't end up too brassy.
If you are a level 5 or lower, you would need to have subtle highlights done to lighten your hair 2 shades to a medium brown and then you could add in some highlights in a caramel tone to give an overall lighter look. Then, do a Color Glaze to seal in the color and add shine.

I agree with Capricorn. I change like this shouldn't be done by yourself at home. Go to a professional and have a consultation done to see if this can be done to your hair with minimal damage to your hair. The professional may want to do a strand test to check to see if the color can be removed, and to check for results. Best case scenario, you can get real close if not the exact result. The worst case is, is that it may take a few visits to the professional to get it done right.

I agree with HairnMakeup. It might take more than one visit to get the desired result. And, please be honest with your stylist about what medications if any, you are taking, what you have used on your hair, and bring photos of shades you like so everyone is on the same page.

Is your hair naturally the colour it is now or is it coloured? Either way I would not try to do it yourself as going from a dark or mid brown to blonde can throw off all types of warmth. If it is natural and you really do want to do it yourself I would always go for an ash blonde. This will knock out some of the warmth you will get when lifting brown hair.
If it is currently coloured I would definately not advise doing it yourself as the colour you end up with will be uneven.

Hi Tara
I would reccomend that you book an appointment for a consultation with one of our Managers or Senior Stylists who would be able to create a colour change for you!

Hello there! If you want the color done right, make sure you visit a salon, and do it there. Doing it yourself 1. Is really hard to do, 2. You may not get what you were expecting, 3. it will actually save you money in the long run, because if you mess up, and come up with green or orange hair, you will have to get a color correction & that my friend are expensive.
If you are in the Arlington Texas area you can come to the JCPenney Salon in the Parks Mall and request Shimmy (817)-557-9936, but if you are not, just look at salon websites and see how you like it. Remember, if you you do not feel comfortable there, if the stylist isnt meeting your needs, you can leave and find another stylist!

I recommend you don't try to do this at home leave it the pro's.If there someone you know a friend coworker etc. Even someone on the street and you like there hair ask them where they got there hair done. Most of the the time they will be glad to tell you,or another good tip look thru some magazine's mostly Hair mag's any drugstore sells or the internet bring it to a experienced hair stylist and they will be able to tell you what will look best on you.
I've scene this many times in the salon I work at ,girls with dark hair come in with orange hair !because they tried to lighten there hair at home. And then they have a hair disaster! on there hands.
It pays to have it done right! Don't think your gonna save money because your gonna wind up spending money in a salon getting it fixed..
Good Luck,Robin R

for best result:
consult with a color specialist is highly recommended
you are asking about a double process, hair coloring services, a colorist will complete a hair analysis to examine the condition of your hair in order to give you his or her recommendation prior any coloring services.
Doing it yourself is not recommended!
