Arriving at the Loch Lomond Golf Club and Spa we accidentally entered through the gate for deliveries which therefore made it a bit more difficult to find the spa as it was not sign posted BUT when we left via the north gate (the one we should have used in the morning) we noticed that it was well sign posted and had a fantastic view of loch lomond. The north gate has an exclusive feel with a gate house and an electric gate. The spa itself is set in a walled garden, the building doesn't look out of place within it's setting as it is in keeping with the feel of the estate and reflects certain features Rossdhu House.
Within the spa we were warmly welcomed at the reception where we filled out a consultation card and were toured round the facilities. I loved the changing areas as there were bright and had plenty to offer (extra towels, ESPA products, dental kits, shave kits, mouthwash, hair products....you name it!) It also had a phone so you could contact reception if there was anything else you needed.
Changed into our robed we headed out to use the heat facillities tropical shower, sauna, steam, vitality pool and ice fountain all fantastic. We then waited in the relaxation room for our treatment where you could help yourself to water, magazines fresh fruit etc. The relaxation room beds are very comfortable each having it's own bed light, headphone set with different music channels and the back of the bed can be raised.....luxury!
I had booked a full body massage, my therapist collected me from the relaxation area and lead me through to a lovely treatment room where she conducted a thorough consultation and did ESPA's standard sensory test to choose the oil most suited to what your body needs. I like a deep massage and my therapist was very good and even tailor made my treatment to target my specific needs.
Lunch was very light but was very tasty and i did feel satisfied after it.
Over all we had a fantasic day the facilities are second to none, everyone was so friendly and always happy to help.
Will definitely go back again :)
Unfortunately I have not experienced the spa side at Ocean terminal but I did visit the salon side for a back massage. Freindly staff made me feel welcome and my therapist was very nice and gave me a fantastic back massage. great to pop in when the shopping bags are getting a bit too heavy great way to take a wee break.
I was at Gleneagles the begining of the year for ESPA training we had a wee nosey at the spa and I knew I wanted to go at some point for a spa day..... only a few weeks later I managed to get a great deal so me and a friend from work went along. Our treatments includes a foot ritual and an ESPA back, face and scalp treatment. Lovely drive up just harder driving home soo relaxed lol I love the wey ESPA has designed the spa at gleneagles and as soon as you walk thro the door you can tell its an ESPA spa. The changing area is great. and we enjoyed relaxing in the spa heat experiences as well as visiting the leisure pool and outdoor pool was fantastic especially as there as snow on the ground. the treatment was very good and the treatment rooms are lovely too. Lunch at Deseo was lovely but had trouble desivering the menu lol not used to fine dinning!! The whole day was a great experience, we were there from first thing and we left just before we'd got kicked out ( as was prob nearly closing time)..... I will defo go back :)
I was given a gift voucher for my birthday to use at Stobo Castle I was so excited to go and had a great day. The facilities there as fantastic but if i'd went with my boyfriend I would not have been able to enjoy the female heat experiences as much, I understand that for some ladies this would be a highlight but not so good for couples. The treatments were good as well as a tasty lunch (bit much seafood on the menu for me tho), the only down side- i was there alone and at lunch was sat at a big round table with 6 other ladies I would have prefered to have been seated seperatly as i think I would have been able to relax more. All round tho great experience :)
