James Lamper, Founder, created WeightMatters in 2005. His understanding and empathy of the struggle that people experience with weight-related issues, is the bedrock of the culture that is WeightMatters. With 20 years of study and experience in the fields of psychology, diet and exercise he knows a lot about weight. He understands weight.
The passion that drives James, is to give all WeightMatters clients the clearest, most direct route to their weight management goals. We help you set realistic goals - that you reach, and maintain, for life.
You all have a very personal relationship with food. Our solutions must be unique, tailored around your very individual needs. We work at a pace to suit you, not us. Weight is a very personal matter, we respect that. Privacy is assured, together with professionalism and discretion.

Having been on diets and worried about my weight for most of my life, it was a great relief to meet James. His approach is relaxed and friendly and always makes me feel at ease, putting a smile on my face even when I’m particularly grumpy! James has persuaded me to think and feel completely differently about food, enabling me to realise that you can enjoy treats without feeling massively guilty.
