It is important to fit your hair to your lifestyle, and the minimalist and uncomplicated feel of this salon is perfect. From start to finish, all the touches are very personal and thoughtful. From greeting clients at the large French doors upon entry, to the reception and stylists’ relaxed attitudes, every detail is on point.
I go to Patty for cuts, and her memory is impeccable. She remembers every little detail from how I like my hair and where I part it, how I like to wear it up when I am at work, to other details like what I was doing the last time I came in. In a city with so many great salons to choose from, it’s these personal touches from the staff that make me feel welcome and keep me coming back.
In addition to giving realistic cuts that work with my level of talent to recreate it, and my unfussy lifestyle, I love the carefully curated selection of small-label products for sale, and the views from the salon. The place is never too busy, they always run on time, and I always get compliments when I leave.

This is a nice find! At first I was looking for the salon on the street level on 5th avenue, but it turns out you need to take the elevator to the 10th floor to access the hair salon. The salon itself has a lot of character, cool views and very friendly staff. I also was offered coffee & water during my haircut, which is always nice.

My stylist - Patty - was super nice and did an excellent job. She was very attentive and thoroughly explained the haircut strategy once she listened to me. I would definitely recommend Tosler Davis to friends, and I would definitely go back.
