I felt compelled to write a review after today's visit (it was my second visit to this particular salon). My hairdresser (Mat) was excellent - he asks, he listens, and I love the end result! I also like his manner - the fact that he does not try and engage me in some small talk or ask polite questions about my private life which he is absolutely not interested in.
What puts me off going there (apart from the prices) is very strange attitude of other staff. The salon was almost empty apart from couple other customers one of which was also waiting on Mat. There seemed to be many young girls there (hairdressers? trainees? admin?) with quite a bit of attitude and not a flicker of smile. The one who washed my hair did not say a word and then sat me down with water dripping down my collar and left! The girls were chatting between themselves and looking annoyed when they had to do anything - like pass my coat or take a payment. When I mentioned £5 discount I had received via sms, distaste on girl's face was so obvious I almost backtracked. NOT A SMILE!
It costs a lot to have your hair done at T&G and there are many many places around much cheaper than that. Might miss the great haircut but at least not spoil my mood.
