Currently in the design stage, Emirates Hotels & Resorts' newest venture, Cap Ternay Resort & Spa, will offer guests a taste of one of the worlds' most exotic and beautiful destinations. Ecologically one of the purest locations in the world, the Seychelles is the unspoiled jewel in the India Ocean crown.
Located within a protected area of the main island, Mahé, this resort is planned to provide a complete experience of the Seychelles, combining the traditional beach holiday with a taste of the exotic forests, towering granite mountains and streams, and the unique wildlife and birdlife of this Indian Ocean sanctuary.
The resort forms an integral part of a marine reserve and island wildlife sanctuary; made up of:
* A main hotel of 270 deluxe rooms, overlooking 2 beaches and the resort gardens. * Individual clusters of luxury rooms, with sea views, set within the Cap Ternay Resort gardens * 40 individual private villas located within the Cap Matoopa Reserve, overlooking the Baie Ternay Marine Sanctuary. * 15 luxury water bungalows, the first of their kind in the Seychelles. * A Timeless Spa - with gymnasium and a wide range of beauty and relaxation facilities. * Water sports, sports and other beach facilities, located around one of the Indian Ocean's largest swimming pools, or on the main swimming beach at Anse Souillac. * A total of eight restaurants to suit beach, casual or more formal dining needs and special occasions, and several bars, with a late-night entertainment venue. * Conference facilities with convention capability will be the first of its kind in Seychelles.
Uniquely the resort has 2 palm lined beaches, easily accessible from anywhere in the resort, one forming the main swimming beach and water sport access, while the other forms a part of the marine reserve, with secluded locations, beach walks and exposure to a turtle sanctuary.
Continuing Emirates Hotels and Resorts' dedication to conservation, this resort not only contributes to, but creates an intensively managed wildlife reserve aimed at conserving not only valuable marine life but the many unique and threatened land species found on these islands. Jointly managed with Seychelles' Department of Environment, the Cap Matoopa Reserve and Marine Sanctuary will provide guests with access to a wide range of landscapes and tropical forests and some of the islands' most beautiful locations right on their doorstep. Guests will actively be able to participate in, and contribute to this important work.
