The Spa Suite at Sani Resort 2.3 1 review

The Spa Suite is one of two spas at the fairly upmarket Sani Resort. The decor and atmosphere are both very nice; even though the spa is situated beneath the hotel reception it has a light and airy feel. The facilities are spotless and all finished to a very high standard.

This was my first spa experience, so didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by some parts of my visit (the quality of the decor, the efficiency of the reception staff) but had some pre-conceptions confirmed by others (ambient music, therapists speaking only in dreamy whispers). Even though I made it clear to my therapist that I didn't know what to expect, he made no attempt to explain the treatment.

The back massage was quite dissapointing. It was very gentle and didn't relax any of the muscles in my shoulders or back. Even though I had booked a one hour treatment, the therapist stopped after 30 minutes and claimed that I had only booked a half-hour masage.

We visited in the resort's early off-season. Even though the treatment rooms were empty, my wife could not arrange an appointment because of lack of staff.
