The spiritual heart of the Palms, the Regent Spa in Turks and Caicos is nearly a destination in and of itself. Conceived by Angel Stewart of Las Ventanas al Paraiso, the Golden Door and Ritz-Carlton (Rancho Mirage) fame, it is spread over an acre and encompasses 25,000 square feet of elegant space sure to please anyone at this Turks and Caicos resort. Treatment rooms are stand-alone and surrounded by water, each with its own water feature by day and fire feature by night. In a garden area, six white tented cabanas provide a different setting for island-inspired herbal treatments. Two extraordinary spa suites are also available for individual guests or couples to create a custom experience of treatments.
Many of the treatments available at the Regent Spa in Turks and Caicos may also be taken in a guest's room for the ultimate in relaxation in a private setting. Either indoors or on one's expansive private terrace, the Spa comes to you.
A Yoga, Pilates and meditation studio offering daily early morning classes (either 7:45am or 8am) is situated in the center of the spa overlooking the 150-foot central water garden that is flanked by majestic date palms. Private Yoga, Pilates and meditation classes are available upon request or by e-mailing in advance. Additionally, consultations with a private nutrition counselor can be booked at the Spa in Turks and Caicos. Water-based therapies, a full service salon, elegant retail salon, health drinks and plans for a new men's barber shop complete the offerings. A Fitness Center consisting of two treadmills, a cross trainer, elliptical edge and stationary bike, as well as seven weight machines, a rowing machine and free weights is also open to guests between the hours of 6:30am and 10pm daily. Personal trainers are available on request.
The Spa is especially good. Again, simple but very thoughtful design, from the dressing areas to the treatment rooms, salon and fitness, all areas are very practical with all expected amenities and a very graceful, polite and professional staff.
The treatments were well executed, in a calm ambiance, and all therapists were experienced.
It is worth going to the Regent Palm hotel just for a series of treatments at the Spa.
