A fantastic day, friendly helpful staff.
Good changing facilities, robe and slippers provided.
Large well equipped gym and pool.
Good choice of healthy lunch.
Lovely relaxing areas, should have taken a book! Lounges and duvets supplied, very cosy!
The hot stone massage was amazing and we can't recommend it enough, looking forward to the next one!

Overall a good visit. Venue was lovely, staff were pleasant and the massage was good although my sister was not too happy that she was the last one to be taken in for the massage and the first one to come back. Biggest gripe was with the pool - FREEZING!! We couldn't go for a nice leisurely swim as it was just far too cold. Plus when we have been to other hotel pools you get magazines to read and comfy sun loungers but the lack of these meant that we didn't stay there very long. it was value for £20 but it wasn't excellent value for money and I don't think I would go back.

went with a group of 6 family members, spa was lovely with great chill out area. Due to lack of appointments I only had a file and polish, nail varnish stayed unchipped for over 2 weeks. will definitely go back for another spa day.

Staff excellent, treatments fantastic. Would definately recommend if just 1 or 2 going for the treatments, however we went as a group and the spa and pool/sauna etc are too far away and we didn't feel it was a good group experience as we couldn't easily be together or know where everyone was.

Bought a voucher from Wahanda and booked in for 2 scalp massages, when booking I requested a double treatment room and happily found on arrival that this was available :) staff were very friendly, therapist was very helpful and made you feel very relaxed.
Atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful. Deceided to have our nails polished too and although we found this expensive it was lovely to have nice painted nails.
I would definaly recommend this spa and on a nice summers day it would have lovely views as it is in a lovely location too.

Easy to find. Lovely spa. Good facilities. Nice relaxation rooms. Free refreshments.
The treatment itself was very relaxing.
Only thing which let the day down was the assistant manager on the front desk.
She was very distracted and we felt like we were inconveniencing her when we asked for towels and robes, and for directions for the pool. All other staff great.

Quite a disappointing spa experience.
When I arrived at the Spa the staff at the reception desk were busy in a conversation about their Saturday night out and I had to wait for 5 minutes until they finished their conversation. Then I handed over my voucher and no show round of the facilities were offered. I had to ask for a robe and slippers and then for directions.
I arrived in the changing rooms after getting lost! The changing facilities were adequate. The pool was quite nice and quiet. I decided to use the experience room. Firstly I tried the experience shower which was not an experience just a normal shower. There were no essential oils or fragrance as there should be. The Sauna was ok but the ice room was out of service. I then went onto the aroma steam room and once again this seemed to not work properly. There was no steam and certainly no aroma. The second steam room was ok.
After a while I decided to go into the relaxation room which was nice however there was a fruit bowl in the room and a number of guests were busy crunching away on apples whilst I was trying to relax. I think the fruit bowl would be best placed elsewhere.
I finally had my facial which seemed very rushed and no skin consultation was carried out and no talk about which products were used.
Overall quite a disappointing day.

Went to the Portal Spa with my daughter as part of a celebration of my 50th birthday in May. The therapist was very professional and the facial was especially good. The relaxation room was the nicest I have been in - very calming and comfortable.
