I booked this day for myself and a friend who has recently had her first child. We were looking for a stress free day and a good girly catch up!
We arrived early for our spa day and changed into our fluffy robes and slippers. We had both booked in for a massage and facial.
Firstly we headed to the spa where we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and we were shown around the spa area. We then decided to use the pool area before our massage and this was just perfect! It was bliss! we just loved the steam rooms and outdoor pool, it certainly got us in the mood for our massages, We then went to the spa 'before room' a quiet tranquil place with herbal teas to fill out our consultation forms. We opted for the hot stone back massages, having not tried this before we were not really sure what to expect but having woke up after around 30mins it was obviously just what i needed! after the massages we had lunch in the spa cafe which was nice and healthy (providing you avoid the chocolate fudge cake!)
After lunch we couldn't resist relaxing by the pool for a while then popped back up for our facials. They use Pevonia products which i'm told are big in America and they certainly did the trick, my skin was left glowing afterwards and the therapist really seemed to know her stuff about recommending the products whilst not being too pushy!
After another snooze in the wave room we changed and checked out at reception.
We had the best day ever and my friend really enjoyed having some time out.
I hope to be back again soon!

I booked a couples spa day as an anniversary treat for my partner and I. We used the facilities during the morning which were stunning and then had our facials later on in the afternoon. Not being one for spa treatments, I found it to be surprisingly relaxing, more so than I had imagined it to be. The only niggling point was my ticklish girlfriend giggling during the face massage but i guess that's the price you pay for a fun couples package compared to a focused single treatment.
We finished off our day in a couples room which was a fun way to spend some time alone together and wake up after the treatments.

Beautiful grounds and setting as driving in. Met by freindly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious changing rooms. Excellent facial treatment by therapist followed by very relaxing post treatment experience in the dream wave room. Pool, jacuzzi and outside pool was amazing.
excellent meal and service had in brassiere resteuraunt.
Will definately be back.

Overall a very good experience. We attended a spa day which included a doubletree facial. The therapist was very good and there was no pushy sales techniques used. The dream wave relaxation room was amazing along with the jacuzzi and out door pool. The terrace cafe was a little disapointing as it had limited meals to offer if lunch was not included in your package. We got dressed and used the brasserie resteuraunt which was lovely. Would definately use the facilities again.

On arrival everyone was very helpful and friendly. Although when asked if I had been before and I answered no I was just directed to the changing rooms. I saw other desks receive a tour of the facilities which would have been helpful.
The facilities were very nice and well presented with plenty of beds to relax on in the pool area. These were a little uncomfortable as they had bumps angles for legs and back which were not in proportion for me so became uncomfortable. There was a very nice outside hot tub/jacuzzi area but this would have been enhanced with something on the walls. Looked a little Cell Block H. The swimming pool was long and thin and had a barrier in the middle which made it quite difficult to swim if busy. Otherwise very relaxing. The treatment was conducted very well though the treatment area was very cold compared to the spa are so shivered a lot which did not help my relaxing period in the wonderful water area which I was directed to after my treatment. The treatment itself was very good. The therapist took her time to discover what skin type I had and made sure I was comfortable. The treatment was one of the best I have ever had and had to stop myself from moaning out loud. I did find the hard sell at the end for products a little off-putting, but the sorbet more than made up for that.
The restaurant was very good and service was very prompt and friendly. Though again cold.
I defiantely enjoyed my day and would recommend a visit to this spa again.

Spent a lovely day at this spa, the facilities were lovely. Had a 241 Spa Reviver Day package with lunch. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the Rasul as I'm 29 weeks pregnant but I was able to go into the private room with my fiancée whilst he enjoyed the mud and steam treatment. We then had a 15min Fish pedicure which lasted almost 45mins. The tank I used had over 50 fish (bit too much for my liking!) so swapped to a tank with less fish which was much more pleasant and relaxing. The therapist who carried out the facial was very professional and knowledgeable about the products. It was a lovely experience and I felt very chilled. The 3 course lunch was very filling - soup or melon to start, cold buffet including prawns, cold meats, salad, dips, bread, quiche... then cake, muffin or cheese and biscuit selection for afters, which filled us up! We also used the pool, and dream-scape room throughout the day which all added to the fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend and cant wait to go back!

Visited theclubandspa in December '11 as I had a voucher for a facial. I had the Anne Semonin Age Delay facial and I loved it! My therapist was able to analyse my skin thoroughly and seemed to know exactly what it needed - turns out I using lots of the wrong products on my unbalanced skin! The products smelt lovely, lots of essential oils but didn't leave my skin feeling clogged or greasy and the special ice cube glided over the skin at the end was really different and refreshing. I would definitely go again and the aftercare my therapist gave me was spot on, my skin felt great for days afterwards

I had a amazing visit to the Club & Spa in Chester with my girlfriend, i dont normally have Spa days but my girlfriend goes to a Spa at least once a month, be both said it was by far the best we had been too.
The staff & the therapists were so helpfull & friendly & made us feel right at home.
The treatment itself was out of this world & felt so relaxed & destressed after, my girlfriend had just had our son & it did her the world of good.
I heard someone say it was under new management aswell & you could definatly tell, it was so clean & tidy & the showers were amazing.
The swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool & thermal rooms were out of this world.
Thank you club & spa Chester for a fantastic day which we will never forget.... we will be back very soon.

I Would recommend to a friend. Facilities top class and therapist very informative. She made me feel welcome throughout my session of Sun tan spray. I will return to experience other therapies on offer. The option to buy more vouchers for christmas to share with my family and friends.

1st time to Doubletree Spa. Facilities looked very good. However was left, unattended, for 20 minutes and had to go back to the main reception to ask what was going on. On my return a member of the spa staff then came out to acknowledge me
The treatment itself was great and very good for the price.
Will I go again? Maybe , but not in the evening when it looks like they operate a skelton staff
