After Booking through Whanda for "sleep and spa" for sunday night and monday day i contacted the hotel to enquire about treatments and was told that that they were fully booked for treatments on the sunday and that there were no therapists on the Monday, and as it was a friends 40th birthday we were a little disappointed. But on the Monday we saw people going for treatments and was told there were a couple of spaces for treatments, so was a little disgruntled as we could have booked our friend a treatment for her birthday.

We also found that if we had booked directly through the hotel it would have been cheaper ( we paid 49.00 per person 2 sharing a room = 98.00.) the hotel was charging 67.00 for the room at the time, but was only use the spa area until 11.am instead of 2.00pm which doesnt warrant the extra, we were told that we had been upgraded to an excecutive room but i wouldnt have called it that, it was a basic room but was clean and nicely decorated. The swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi area were a little grubby and in need of a nightly clean down and would have been nice to have had some relaxing music piped through.

Food at the hotel was very nice, staff not as welcoming as would have liked, we tried to sit out and eat to make the most of the lovely weather but there was an over powering smell of faeces ( it wasnt the country air).

The hotel is nicely situated for lovely strolls into Clumber Park and we did make the best of it due to our friends 40th birthday.

I did contact Whanda and the hotel straight away after having booked about the price difference and was told by Whanda that someone would contact me regarding the issue , but suprise no one did, it would have been nice if they had tried to make it a little special for our friend but they didnt.

My advice contact the place that is on offer directly and you may save money.

I went to New Leaf Spa at Clumber Park with my sister at the beginning of April. The reception staff greeted us straight away and made us feel welcome. We filled in the necessary forms, made arrangements for lunch and then were shown around the spa area and given towels, robes and slippers. One of the reception staff explained that the outside hot tub wasn't working but that an engineer was there at the time and they hoped it would be fixed before lunch. It was. We had a swim and a sauna and then went through for our treatments. Everything was timed to perfection. The treatment was very relaxing (top to toe indulgence I think it was called) and lunch was ready when we came out of the treatment rooms. Lunch was good and very filling. We had a rest and then went back to the spa area for another swim, sauna and this time we used the hot tub too. All the time we were there, there were probably only ten other people in the spa area and often, it was just the two of us. A very relaxing day and good value for money.

We were greeted politely and shown the premises and then given locker keys and robes to get changed. The therapist was fantastic , the treatments great and the actual treatment rooms were lovely. Nice music and lightening.
The value was good, the 2 for one, offer of 82 pounds with two treatments and lunch.
Lunch, the bento box, was nice a salad/noddle combination. However service was poor we were not offered tea or coffee or water and had to find the receptionist to ask.
What let the venue down was that other facilities were limited there was a swimming pool with a whirlpool and a small sauna and steam room. After the treatments we swam for a bit and the went in the whirlpool, but after that there was not much to do. To get water to drink, you had to go back into the changing rooms which were down a quite cold corridor.
I have previously been to Thoresby hall, which was a lot more expensive (we got an offer 2 people for 100 pounds including lunch) and with no treatments however it was a more luxurous option with a buffet help yourself to as much lunch as you like and a glass of wine. Free fruit and water were provided and the facilities were numerous.
However overall at New leaf spa the price was great and the treatments amazing.

For the money we paid this day was OK. The reception lad was nice and welcoming. Therapist was ok. Would go again for a special offer byt wouldn't want to pay a lot. Clumber Park is on the doorstep and great for walks.

The hotel location and facilities were excellent. The spa was first class and the therapist was both professional and experienced and the outdoor jaccuzzi is a must. The food was fabulous and the staff were polite and friendly, an overall relaxing and stress free experience. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.

Felt venue was very welcoming, staff very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was of a very good standard as was breakfast. We did feel, however there was a lack of pointers to relax by the pool. There were only 6 and these were all in use. Overall we were very pleased with our spa break.

After staying at the Clumber park and hotel and spa I had an enjoyable experience but would not be bothered about staying again.
The room was nice but and it was clean but there was a problem with the heating system which meant it was absolutely boiling, when we reported this problem it was resolved straight away. The spa itself was basic but the sauna and pool were nice. The steam room was not up to the standard of cleanliness I would have expected as there was alot of mould within it, and the outdoor hot tub was very dissapointing because it was not hot enough and it smelt really funny. The treatment rooms were very nice as was my therapist and the standard of treatment was good for the price paid.
The best part about the weekend was the food at the Normanton Inn the breakfast was a brilliant full english, unfortunately the evening meal was an additional extra but I felt this was good value for money when you receive the £5 off as part of the deal. I had the chicken and chips which I wouldn't normally go for but would recommend.
All in all if you live nearby and you want a cheap get away this place is cheap and cheerful and I would recommend it, if your coming from any further afield then I wouldn't bother unless your coming to spend time in the neighbouring countryside. Personally I feel there are much better deals on here such as the half price break to the titanic spa and I would go there before considering the New Leaf Spa.

Better than expected. Food was lovely and the staff very friendly.

Spa very nice and rooms excellent. Extremely good value for money.

Only hitch was that our treatments were confirmed but reservations did not let the SPA know! They had no record of our treatment bookings. Fortunately, they managed to fit us in - but not good if it has been really busy.

Still would recommend.
