Had a Hollywood bikini wax here yesterday, was the best I've ever had. Extremely thorough, very professional and made me feel really comfortable. It was fast, efficient, effective and as painless as can be expected. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

I needed an emergency bikini wax and eyebrow shape last month (before being a bridesmaid) and had left it to the last minute. Having just started a job near to this salon I thought I'd see if i could squeeze one treatment into my lunchbreak. The lady on the phone was very helpful and managed to book me in to be seen on that day for both treatments - so far, so good!

The look and feel of the salon is fantastic - using Hollywood glamour icons as its theme, you instantly feel very in the mood for a bit of pampering. Although my appointment was suitably swift its definitely the kind of place I could see myself relaxing in for a few hours, other clients were sat having a drink and a gossip at the nail bar or were relaxing in a pedi-chair. The girl who did my wax (sorry can't remember the name!) was lovely and friendly and made me feel like i'd come for a bit of indulgence, despite squeezing me in last minute!

Having heard celebs like Peter Andre and Sarah Harding go to this salon I was a little weary that it might be a bit too exclusive/expensive perhaps for me - but not at all! Although it certainly has that celeb feel I was really welcomed here and the price list was more than affordable for me. A great little find - for quick fixes and long pamper sessions alike! I was more than happy with the end results and will definitely visit again soon.

I absolutely love The Lanes Health and Beauty and will make it one of my regular hot-spots for beauty treatments. The atmosphere is lively and fun, the treatments are top notch and you leave feeling extra pampered and cared for. Want to go back with a group of mates for a party - so fun!! Especially recommend the microdermabrasion with oxygen treatment.

Found the whole experience a total disappointment and when I attempted to leave feedback my opinion was not listened to by the owner. I feel the advertised treatment was misleading and atmosphere hostile. The owner justified her rude behaviour by accusing my party of being late ( I know we were not late but arrived exactly on time as I hate being late and would have apologised a million times if we were) .....
I feel from reading the other reviews that maybe if your face fits and Julie (owner) thinks your a local then she looks after you? I wish I had not bothered as I am £150 out of pocket with a manicure that looked great for a day ( girls who did treatment seemed kind enough but it was difficult to get over the frosty atmosphere that the owner was sending our way and my whole party felt very uncomfortable )

Had my first Brazilian Waxing today, as I walked up I was tempted to turn around. I wasn't too happy when I first got there, because the reception area wasn't very big, and I felt a little bit awkward sitting there waiting. (but then again could be my nerves) But the therapist came to be right on time, and took me up to one of their treatment rooms. I was made comfortable the moment i was in the room, I was told clearly what will be done, what to keep on and surprisingly, and felt very reassured. even though i've never waxed that area before, i thought it was not painful at all, just the shock every time the strip was ripped off. so my therapist Lizzie did an amazing job in my opinion!

So definitely will go again and hopefully will get to try one of their facials or pedicures!

I am a beauty addict and love to get my hands on the very best treatments. This place is heaven. I went a week ago and had a Crystal Clear facial that made my face look amazing, a pedicure in these huge massaging relaxing chairs with built in foot spa (thought you could only get these in London!) that was perfect, but THE BEST thing of all was the new manicure system they are doing. It is a gel system where each coat of varnsih is dried under a UV light and I swear, even though it was done over a week ago it looks perfect -like it was freshly done this morning. Genius. Book it girls!!

I visit this salon once a month for a massage and general waxing,. the waxing is the best i have ever had anywhere and I have been to lots of places! The massage is so relaxing and I always feel the benefits for days afterwards. the rooms are all very glam and the therapists cant do enough for you, and make you feel instantly at home. i reccomend highly.

I have been meaning to write a review for months but haven't got round to it till now...... my mum bought me a voucher for my birthday, I couldn't wait to use it so booked an appointment. Never having any beauty treatments before I was a bit unsure of what I was booking! When I called up they couldn't have been more helpfull.

I was looking forward to my massage and facial.

When I arrived at the beautiful salon I was taken upstairs to a lovely candle filled room with low lighting, Fiona (my therapist) explained the treatments and how I was to get ready for them.

I was made to feel very welcome, relaxed and loved the experience, my skin looked glowing and everyone noticed..... I have recommended the facial to all my friend and will def be on my xmas list!!!

My friend and I visited The Lanes Health and Beauty for my birthday in May, we had a lovely experience.

We shared the double treatment room which was a bit of fun to start off but after about 5 mins we were in our own little world due to the excellent massage! The therapists we had were very professional and made us feel very comfortable (i have just had a baby and was nervous taking my clothes off)

We had full body massages and aromatherapy facials all top off with a complimentary glass of bucks fizz, a truly lovely experience, we cannot wait for our next visit.

I will definitely be recommend the salon to my friends.

I had a baby 6 months ago, so the last few months have ceratinly taken their toll on me and I haven't had 5 minutes to myself. So when my husband offered to buy me a massage, due to the fact my back has been painful for the last few weeks, I jumped at the chance.
I have often walked past The Lanes Health and Beauty and thought how lovely it looked so I immediately called them and booked an appointment.

I was really looking forward to it and was in desperate need of relieving the tension in my back.
When I arrived I was met by a young therapist with long dark hair. I have no idea of her name as she never introduced herself. She took me to a therapy room and as I was just getting undressed she asked me to move to another room and didn't explain why.
She told me to get undressed but didn't explain what to keep on and what to take off. Nor did she tell me which way to lie - back or front.
Then came the massage which was more than disappointing. The pressure was very light and therefore didn't have any effect on taking my tension away. It appeared as though the therapist just didn't want to be there and couldn't really be bothered.

I came away feeling let down and my back was and still is filled with tension. It isn't what I expected when paying £45 for a massage. I have had considerably better massages elsewhere.
