I had a great experience.Location is perfect at city centre within my gym. The staff are very professional. They are using great products. I had St. tropez for my tan and it looks great
Great tan put on by a lovely member of staff. Very friendly and gave clear instructions of what I needed to do when leaving the spa.
Broken glass on the doorstep when we arrived didn't start the day off well. First member of staff didn't have a record of our booking and was flapping so just told us to go down the corridor and head down the stairs telling us someone will sort us out. The spa staff seemed very busy setting up for the day and not taking any interest that my husband and I were sat there waiting to be advised where to go. We were not shown around the facilities at all and just told to undress in the treatment room. The treatments themselves were OK but a little more time and effort would have made for a better experience. The venue itself was dirty with numerous discarded plasters stuck to the side of the pool and a scum line around the waters edge. Paint flaking off the ceiling. Rust all over the ventilation system above the pool spoiled what could be a beautiful venue with its unusual pool. The female changing rooms were large and airy with separate female saunas and steam rooms which I thought was a lovely touch and welcome. Shame about the lockers with half having private pad locks on and many more broken so unusable. This place needs a serious clean up. Not what I was expecting from a Bannatyne.
Staff were very helpful. Just had bit of a spruce up so everything smelt new. Would definitely return. Was able to pop out for something to eat at lunch so location was good.
Fire alarm went off and we had to go in to the street in our towels with wet hair, in our bikinis. It was bloody freezing and joe public staring. Eventually we were brought dressing gowns and let in after 15 mins. I understand this may happen - safety first etc... , but there was no apology, especially when it affected my treatment time - my treatment was shortened and much later. This was after they messed up my treatment times beforehand. It just ruined it, I was stressed, not relaxed... The first treatment was a Indian head massage - basically just running her fingers through my cold wet knotted hair (as I had been outside) - it hurt My facial was good though - by a different lady. I would definitely NOT pay again.
