I tried to book at Bristol's Bannatyne Spa on three seperate occasions but they had no availabilities!! The voucher was useless and basically ran out before an availabaility that I could attend came up.
Don't buy this if you can only go at weekends or during half terms or school holidays.
Waste of time, effort and money :(

I bought my mum, what was described as, a luxury pamper day at Bannatynes, Bristol. Much to our dissapointment we both felt that there was very little in the way of luxury or pampering. The changing rooms were rather busy with hardly any room for us to put our bags down / get changed. The whole pool was roped off into lanes whch made us feel unable to just relax in the pool without swimming lengths and the ambience of the place was far from luxurious or relaxing. There wasnt anywhere to chill out and relax in our robes other than in the restaurant which is at the entrance of the building so people are constantly coming in and out to use the gym and other facilities. The one hour treatments that we recieved were average, again the treatment rooms were very basic and far from luxurious, not even a glass of water available without going down to the bar! At the end of our treatment, but without success, the therapist tried very hard to sell us the very expensive products.

Easy to book and informative about your day with them. Facilities were clean and modern, good selection of classes. We loved the spa, very relaxing and great after a good work out. Our massages were good and performed by friending therapists.

This was our second visit to Bannatynes Bristol, and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again. It might not be the most luxurious spa location, but you can't beat it for a good value day of relaxation! The facilities (pool, spa-pool, sauna, steam room, changing & showers) are all perfectly acceptable (and, most impotantly, clean); the cafe is pleasant and good value; and the sensory spa treatments are fabulous. This visit we also took advantage of the free classes and did Zumba with a brilliant instructor!
The only criticism would be that the towels are a bit old and tired - not the end of the world but it would be an easy way of making the whole experience that little bit more luxurious.

We booked for a spa day and found the Birstol venue very disappointing, we were expecting relaxing surroundings and a place where we could relax and chill for the day. The spa at Bristol is possibly missed named as the facilities were aimed at the super fir and those wanting to get fit, the pool was just for swimming with the aim of fitness, there was no where aroud the pool to relax. The chairs were situtaed by reception and we personally did not want to lounge in dressing gowns around an area frequented by anyone entering the gym. the swimming pool was also being painted whist we were there which was a bit off putting, we had thought we would spend the day yhtere bu after our treatments which were excellent there was nothing else to do. Anyone expecting a relaxation pamper day will be disappointed because the place is basically a gym which we could have visited at home!

The day was very nice the staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside for me was the hardsell i got from the therapist to buy their products.
