Star Makers is a very clean salon. It's a nice staff. The stylist's are wonderful ,they take their time..everyone is friendly. i would recommend this salon to alot of my friends! it's nice to know such good people!!!

I absolutely love this Salon. It is very clean and the ambiance is laid back. The customer service I recieved was first rate. I enjoyed being able to have the owner do my hair. She is open, nice and considerate as it pertains to hair styles. The professionalism was pretty standard to me. I didnt have any problems. I would and I have recommended this salon to plenty of my friends. Check it out, you will enjoy good people and excellent service.

First of all I live in Florida, and I go to starmakers everytime I go to Georgia, as for the poor customer service I'd have to disagree. It's all about your attitude when you go into any type of business, if you're coming in to be negative, you're going to have a negative opinion about it, so basically no matter what the salon is like you're not going to be satisfied either way it goes, This behavior is commonly seen in HATERS!!! You've got to visit a place more than a few times before you make any assumptions. Besides, with a business as busy,and popular as starmakers it's expected that everyone isn't going to be satisfied, there's going to be someone who doesn't get the attentio n of the owner. F.Y.I. this woman isn't in business to make friends, she's in it to provide quality service, and I haven't read any comments from anyone about the service being poor, so what are you going to the salon for? To make friends, or get quality hair care service? The owner, and her stylist are some of the most professional designers of hair out there, and you don't have to pay the hollywood price to get a hollywood look. It's sad that people are NEVER satisfied. If your experience wasn't as satisfying as you'd hoped it would be it's like the saying goes.."If you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything at all". Unfortunately, HATERS can care less about the impact their comments have on a business, because they don't want that business to succeed in the first place, this is exactly why I don't take anyones word for nothing, I give all businesses a chance, I can appreciate anyone that owns their own business, because with all the negativety that comes with success I know it's not easy. BIG UPS!!! to all business owners, God Bless You! Kieyana keep your head up girl, and stay positive, if you weren't doing it right you wouldn't have haters, and if you don't have haters you're in the wrong business. I can agree with both comments about the salon. The seating is limited because they are very busy. I have been there three time to bring my daughter to Shawna who always does a great job on her hair and its always bouncy and pretty. She gets compliments everywhere we go. I did see that girl with the long nails who was loud and ghetto in previous visits and some of the stylist have bad attitudes in particular the gay guy that works in the front of the salon. He asked me who i was there to see when I told him Shawna he rolled his eyes at me he was not only rude but loud and unprofessional with earphones in his ear and flip flops on his feet. NOT CUTE! I thought he was the owner but my stylist assured me that he was not the owner. That she worked next door in a spa.. The shop was a little too busy and the shampoo girls were dressed very skanky. But when I dropped my daughter off recently I did get to see the owner she was nice and said hello the gay guy was gone so was nine inch nails and all those shampoo girls were dressed nice. The owner does seem very stand offish and shy but from my experience she seems to be about her business. Everyone including the stylist were very nice and I can agree that they all do outstanding work. I think the ones that had a bad experience should give it another try because I know what you experienced in the past I did witness thes same behavior but it is truely different now. The whole ambience has changed for the better. I would recommend this salon to everyone

i cant believe what i am reading , i came to starmakers with a wild child look and walked out as beautiful as a star, as for the above reviews i have known Keiyana since the salon b4 the forest park location she is on of the most humble people i know , she may come off a little stand off-ish but thats because she is extremly shy not once have i seen her rolling eyes or not speaking to people, but lets be foreal everyone has a bad day n mayb u seen a bad moment lets all pretend that we r not human and we dont have bad days one thing you can say if anything is she is definitely about her business, if you only knew that greatness doesnt happen over night u would know that ,that "back of the beauty supply store salon" was only a stepping stone to the amazing things which you see today, i really hate that you all are speaking so poorly of a salon that contains a shop full of amazing personalities and talent.
and for the girl who is speaking on the stylist with 6 inch nails as long as she can do her job well the length of her nails should not matter to you , there is a dress code in the salon and it is strictly inforced and i really dont think nails should b a criteria as long as they r done and clean they are fine with me .
as for the assistants if you only knew starmakers has multiple assistants alot of the girl are from the cosmetology college and want to get the experiance of being in a salon some stay and some go , if u dont see the same person at the McDonalds working the drive thru everytime you there do you give them a bad review i really dont understand what your talking about if its the stability of the assistances thats make your salon experience then idk what to tell you

I went to Star Makers Hair Salon, it was a great experience! I did not have to wait long, and I did not even spend alot of money. They treated me like I was a million dollars. They have a great staff and professionalism is wonderful. The whole staff spoke to me when I walked through the door. They even have a new nail tech, she was great too. Star Makers offered me food and drink, I just felt like I was at home I would love for my family and friends to visit Star Makers hair salon. Also I would recommend it to anyone who has never been before.

starmakers is a beautiful salon as far as the setup. i have noticed that everytime i have been there is always new assistant. which is strange.i think the owner name is kyana,who never speaks when you walk in but remembers to roll her eyes,then talk about you when you leave.(i saw it for myself)onef the hair stylist nails were about six inches,very unprofessional.there was no where to sit,they have very limited seating.last time i went a man name javon did my hair,i came back two weeks later,i was told he no longer worked there and they had no idea where he relocated to, or his number.that was untrue.another customer gave me his new shop info,and told me where to find him,that they didnt want to give his info out bcause of personal issues they had with him,which to me is VERY unprofessional.

I definitely agree with the review by client above.....shop decor is beautiful especially compared to where shop owner came from(back of the beauty supply store in forest park) there are great stylist there however if you are not spending a large amount of money there its jus like your not even there, the time taking out to make sure your hair is as great looking as another client that is spend a large amount is almost none existing. Very few seating giving the benefit of a doubt shop waiting area seats about 10 so if you dont catch a seat your sol and no one cares POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE POOR ASSISTANTS EVERY OTHER WEEK THERE IS A NEW ASSISTANT FOR KEYANA. Can we say new managment NEW MANAGEMENT!

I loved the shop's appearance its very clean and the decor is very cutting edge. The stylist are very friendly and extremely talented. However I was definitely surprised at the lack of professionalism. There was no usage of proper business operations. For example the salon does not accept credit or debit cards. They do not issue receipts. Worse of all they do not schedule appointments.It was overbooked there was not adequate seating people had to stand and even sit out side. The staff will allow you to sit there all day. I came in and sat there six hours leaving with nothing but my hair based for a perm. Lastly the ethics and customer service were awful . To them you are nothing but a dollar sign and if you are not spending big amounts for sew in weaves or quick weaves then they could care less if you leave satisfied. I WAS a long time customer and brought many clients here my entire family here for the last seven years but this bad experience topped all other of several negative experiences. Like having to leave and comeback because my hair was not done, sitting patiently and staff members allowing others to go in front of you totally unacceptable. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to this salon because of the extremely POOR customer service.
