I went on a spa day with my friend. We had a lovely relaxing day and really enjoyed it.
The only fly in the ointment was that I had to cancel the first appointment and the person I spoke to on the phone said he had definately booked me in for the second appointment when he hadn't. It was only that my friend wanted to change her treatment and phoned - that we found out we were not booked in!
I phoned and sorted it out and we were given robes and locker as compensation.
myself and my mum enjoyed this experience very much apart from the receptionist who said that the wahanda deal did not include a robe, unfortunately, this meant that we had to get dressed in order to go for our lunch and have our facials. I have never been to a spa day that did not include a robe.
The facilities and the therapists were lovely and the facial was expertly carried out. Lunch, which was an additional £10 was very tasty and as it was 2 courses and included a soft or alcoholic drink it was good value.
I would definately go back again but would check out the terms and conditions of the offer first and be sure about a robe being included - its a shame that the spa lets a little thing such as a robe spoil what could be a fab experience that would bring in more business when you tell your friends/colleagues about it.
Our visit to Spa Naturel got off to a rather shaky start as the receptionist who booked us in gave us keys for "empty" lockers - i.e. no towels or robes. Went back to sort this out and got different keys, only to find one locker didn't have a towel, only a robe. Trudged back to reception again and picked up towels there. We were horrified to discover the spa doesn't issue guests with slippers - particularly as one of the corridors we had to use was covered in snow and filthy grit from outside. Not a pleasant experience in bare feet. The thermal room in the spa was excellent, with saunas and steam rooms and a huge hot tub that was partly outside so you could swim out and enjoy being in the snow and the spa at the same time. The facial included in the deal was a lovely experience - so relaxing - and my skin felt great afterwards. Overall a good day, spoiled only by having to wander around in bare feet. I would suggest that the spa either supplies slippers to guests free of charge or offers them for sale in reception.
Nice foyer to the hotel spa and welcomed with a quick tour of the facilities and a choice of teas to drink before we embarked on our treats! The swimming pool was a bit on the cool side so swam 2 lengths and dipped into the lovely warm jacuzzi which was very unusual in that it went through to a slightly larger pool which had an opened shutter so you could overlook the garden at eye level - a very unusual aspect I'd never seen before so a nice surprise. The hot/cold showers/sauna etc facilities were good and nice and clean. We had a pre-ordered lunch served which, although tasty, wasn't hot and the desserts had been left on a counter for us which was also used for people to leave their dirty plates. Lunch over so off to our treatments - my massage was very relaxing, so much that I missed the last few minutes as I fell asleep(!) and my friend had a pedicure which she was a bit disappointed in but taking into account we only had 25 minute treatments not a lot of time to do a full-on pedicure. All in all a good day out for the offer price we paid.
