A fabulous two day break in a great hotel with a stunning location. The treatments were spot on, the staff lovely, welcoming and helpful. The leisure centre, with swimming pool sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was perfect for a couple of oldies! We swam twice a day. The food was great apart from one breakfast, where we had salmon and scrambled eggs. This was presented on two slices of toast, which were wet and soggy under the egg, and the salmon was very sparse, so I wouldn't recommend going for that option. The first day we had the full cooked breakfast with haggis and black pudding - it was lovely. Dinner was a set menu with a choice of two dishes, and the quality was excellent. As far as the treatments are concerned my husband loved the massage especially, whilst I liked the lime salt scrub, and was so pleased with the treatments that I booked in for a pedicure too. Whole trip was brilliant!
Two night freedom break was an excellent deal. The service and facilities of the hotel were great. Both the service and food in the restaurant were also exceptional. On that note we were pleasantly surprised by the fruit basket waiting in the room upon our arrival. Thank-you for a great time, just what we needed.
Total relaxation in all the spa areas, the overall hotel was very nice and the food was amazing, will return to this hotel again and would recomend it others. Also the views from the hotel are worth the journey alone.
I would recommend this hotel and spa to all my family and friends. The deal I got through Wahanda was excellent.
I really needed this well deserved break and even the weather couldn't spoil it.
