When I arrived there was no one at Shenshakti & the place was closed. The therapist was 20 minutes late & apologised. She didn’t seem to realise that it was normal practice to fill in a form about your health before the treatment started. She thought that I had come in for a head & facial massage; I had to inform her that I had come in for an Ayurvedic body massage. Not a good start. The reception area was tiny. The stairs leading down to the treatment room was very steep. You had to be very careful walking down the stairs. The toilet room had a very low ceiling; I had to stoop & I’m 5ft 8!

The treatment room was fairly big. It had a nice ambience about it; was dimly lit, had nice relaxing music playing in the background, but the incense was fairly strong, & took quite a while to get use to it. Nevertheless, the therapist was friendly & gave a good medium pressure massage, which I had asked for.

Despite starting late I did get my full 1-hour treatment. I would of given Shenshakti a higher rating if it wasn’t for the setbacks, but I would come back again, as the treatment was quite good.
