I was seriously overdue for a haircut, so I wandered into the (Vidal) Sassoon Salon in the Flatiron / Chelsea area of NY as scheduled in with a stylist named Sai. Sai, as it turned out, is a cool, funky and edgy Asian woman who immediately understood what I think I wanted from my haircut and got to work after I had a lovely shampoo & scalp massage from Giselle, an hair stylist in training.
Sai did an awesome job, i think. She was quite masterful and I think my hair looks pretty sweet for my brother's wedding which is this weekend. So, I was very happy, however this type of custom high end haircut does not come cheap. I paid over $100, but I couldn't chance it, so Supercuts will have to wait until next time to even out the average cost of my NY haircuts.
