Lovely salon. polite and professional staff
I just think there are better deals out there, alot of Salons offer cuts and colour deals for the same price Rush seem to offer for cut

Went to the salon the first time to have my haircut and hair colouring, which overall was ok. Not really great BUT OHH well had my hair cut ! Second time was for brazilian blow dry and gosh, never again. Paid 165 Pounds and the treatment AND service provided were so bad believe me. After one week need to do relaxing again because my hair was still exactly the same as before .... Curly and frizzy. For a hair salon like this plus with prices like that .... The service you provide is really poor.

I had heard about the Rush hairdressing group and was desperate for a New Year cut and this was the salon that was most local to me. I had heard about other's bad experiences here - my mum came to this salon for colour and was left waiting for over an hour to be seen! Unbelievable, but I was determined i would walk out if I was treated the same. Anyway, all in all I was in and out of the salon in under an hour. However I was left £40+ lighter (I had the online 50% offer), though I would have felt worse if I had parted with more money for what was a disappointing time. I specifically asked for a director, as i believed their experience would show with the standard of their cut. I was very put off when the 'style director' kept asking me to put my hand through my hair and tell her how much I want off! Surely she should be the judge of what looks good and how to execute a cut?!!! Needless to say I would not go here again or recommend as i feel like it was a waste of money and my hair does not look different.
On the plus side I was offered a nice cup of tea with biscuits.

I have been to Rush ilford a couple of times now and its now my favourtie salon. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming each time. I wanted dramatic hair cuts both times I went and I loved it each time! The stylist did the cut exactly as I requested it and they always make sure and double check the length you want cut if you want it shorter for example. I'm defifnitly making it my regualr hairdressers!

Having had the best hair cut I think I've ever had, at Rush in Ilford, I wanted to shout it from the roof tops and came to this site. I was suprised to see a negative review. I can't possibly imagine that we can be talking about the same salon. I've always had long hair and decided to go for the chop and have it all cut off - I was so scared but it looks a.m.a.z.i.n.g (even if I do say myself). When I got there I was offered a choice of refreshments and had the most beautiful head massage (all included as part of the service). My stylist was really friendly - she really listened to what I wanted and gave me great advice. Not all stylists were in as full throws of conversation and banter as we were but then some people do just like to sit there and read don't they - and if that's what you want to do - they have an amazing selection of magazines. I'm only sorry that the lady who had a bad experience didn't get past the recpetion desk and get to experience this for herself. Each to their own but don't let this put you off...best thing to do, go see for yourself, I'd highly recommend it.

Have lived in and around Ilford for a majority of my life and came to make an appointment for a family member at Rush as it was a new salon and this particular family member wanted to try somewhere new. The first thing i noticed that the staff who did not have clients were huddled around the reception area talking and their attention wasn't willingly given to us, the customers. One extremely rude member of staff proceeded to make a booking for us whilst another two members of staff stood next to them whispering and giggling and looking in our direction. The staff member, a young Scottish lady was rude and clearly thought that as the person I was booking for was an older person, my grandmother, would need a specialist person as she put VERY slowly and in the most patronising manner possible. I strongly suggest some customer service training or maybe just some general manners or social skills should be reviewed in the staff here. One of the whispering staff members then decided to ask me really loudly and slowly, because quite clearly they must have thought we were hard of hearing, whether or not my grandmother was being accompanied by anyone! I was under the impression that anyone over 18 was an adult and could most probably manage a hair appointment by themselves but with these responses maybe I misunderstood something. As we had been shopping that day we had a voucher given to us for Rush, which was actually how we had heard of it. With the £10 off voucher the cut and blow dry came to £32, a reasonable price, but not for the service. Looking around the salon aesthetically it was pleasing, very clean and modern however none of the clients were speaking to their hairdressers and the hairdressers themselves seemed to be speaking to each other. Needless to say we didnt continue with the booking and would definitely not recommend it. The attitude and approach of the staff was absolutely disgusting, the were patronising, abrupt and arrogant and the genreal ambience of the salon itself? Well there wasn't one. It's a shame though as it looks like it could be a really good salon but there are some brilliant salons in Ilford where people treat you like humans and with respect!

I am new to the area and was checking out my new local.
I decided to visit this salon which is located in the exchange and although it looked very good on first impression, the hairdresser was behaving like a trainee,
I did state in the beginning i was wanting a hair treatment, followed by wash, cut and blow dry.
over all i felt rushed and my hair was only cut from the back and she decided to leave the front.
I asked why had she not trimmed my hair from the front, her response was shocking as she assumed that i would be alright wit the look.
I told her to finish the job and went on to pay was charged £63.00 for a very unsatisfied haircut.
RUSH SHOULD BE CHANGED TO RUSHED AS THAT IS MOST SUITED TO THE SO CALLED SERVICE

Sounds like it was not an ideal experience! Did you speak with the manager or head stylist there?
