Overpriced and unfriendly !
I went here on a colour and treatment deal.
I was very uncomfortable as the staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and I was left alone for a long tiem without anyone even acknowledging I was there.
I was suppose to have a treatment, which I didnt get, but was told afterwards that I did, in my opinion they just left some conditioner in a bit longer than they should have.
I was charged double of what the deal was suppose to be, with the justification that I had a different colour and that they had to redo smething, as they weren't happy with the result. Now surely they should not charge me for something they did wrong and weren't happy with?
Don't come here! Not even when you think you got a bargain, it's overpriced as they will charge you more than the voucher you had with an excuse.

I visited Rush in Earls Court on 10 November 2011. Upon entering the salon staff appeared to be very uninviting and rude. I was then taken by hairdresser Joseph to a mirror where we discussed colouring options. I intended to have my foils redone but he kept insisting that it was not healthy for my hair and that we should do a tint instead. As a serial hair colourer, I know it's not possible to lighten hair with a tint and I voiced my opinion. However, he and head stylist kept insisting so eventually I agreed. Following two hair colouring treatments I ended up with ORANGE roots and a very irritated scalp. My hair is also extremely DRY and BRITTLE and keeps SNAPPING. Never has my hair been in the condition that it is now. It is so bad that I can't even fix the colour. Not only where the hairdressers incompetent and lacked basic knowledge but they are also very rude. My overall experience was very unpleasant and I will never go back nor recommend this salon to anyone.

Well, it all began by me rushing into the salon. I asked whether I can get a haircut in the next 30 minutes & how much it will cost. I was shown their price list and explained that it ought to cost up to GBP 30 (, which seemed to me quite pricey, but whatever – I was in rush). Then I was given a seat to wait for someone to come, they asked whether I want coffee and usual etc.
So it begins..
The guy who is supposed to give me a haircut came only after 10 minutes. Then he wanted to have a chat with me, which took another 5 minutes.. The time is ticking, but Ok, I thought I will be late 10 minutes – that's not a big deal! Lets skip all the cutting experience - throughout all the session I was reading news on my iPhone and didn't even notice how the time passed by.
* the whole cutting session took roughly an hour and 15 minutes
* the receipt I was given on my way out was GBP 50 (wow.. kidding me?)
* the girl asked me like 10 times whether I want to book another appointment in two weeks ([..])
Coming back? Never.

My first impression was a good one as I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist and then introduced to a friendly professional stylist who listened to what I had wanted and delivered. I would definitely go back here again

Terrible salon!!! I went there to get a toned down blonde colour from my then bleach blonde colour - I didn't want any bleaching service and was booked in for highlights/colour. The 'colourist' consulted with me for 10mins as I explained how I wanted to move away from the white blonde and have a honey colour put through - he snubbed my suggestions saying it would look 'boring' and 'no fun' and proceeded to put a bleach treatment through my hair! When washing my hair he was really vigorous trying to get the stuff out and when eventually putting a toner on I felt like my head was on fire!
When you bleach hair, you have to be so careful with it afterwards as its prone to breakage so why this guy felt the need to scrape a hairbrush through my hair like he was grooming a dog is beyond me! I had so much new breakage in my hair I was literally in tears and was pointing out the wispy hairs at the scalp to which he didn't care at all!!
Without going into too much detail a couple of other things happened (and why I strongly suggest people don't go here) my appointment over ran and I was the only client left at 8pm so the receptionist made it clear he wasn't happy having to stay late by scowling at me across the room (no, I'm not being paranoid - he really was!). The end result of my hair colour was an awful shade of yellowy blonde (my worst nightmare), so I was fuming when I had to pay £80 for something I could have done a thousand times better at home. I did re-colour my hair when i got home as I just couldn't go out with yellow hair. When I complained the next day to the manager, I was told they couldn't do anything as I had coloured my hair afterwards and there was nothing they could do - despite mentioning the breakage and poor service the best they could offer was a free hair treatment. Pathetic!!!!

I have never had such a bad haircut. I went in and spoke to my hairdresser about what I wanted. I'd recently had a 'slanted' cut, with the back slightly shorter than the front, with a very gently slope down. My hair was just over my shoulders and I told him I wanted a similar cut to my last one, I was trying to grow my hair and was thinking about a fringe.
He was very pushy, trying to sell me hair colour and telling me I'd look loads better if I had darker hair - even after I'd told him that it took me 5 years to grow out my colour and didn't want to get it dyed, nor did I have the money to afford it.
He then proceeded to cut my hair into a bob. A barely scraping the bottom of my ear bob. He put the scissors to the back of my neck and said 'around here?' - which was about right for a sloping hair cut. He then cut that length out from one side of my hair. There was nothing I could do after that. So he had to cut the whole bob in - even at one point saying "I love the look of bob's but they're such a pain to get perfectly straight" . Not once had I asked for a bob. Nor did it suit me at all. I came out of the salon and burst into tears. And was still crying about how awful it looked a month later. Not one of my friends was able to look me in the eye and tell me they liked it.
I have since told all of my friends to avoid the Rush at Earl's Court. When a colleague was looking for a quick fringe cut in and didn't have time to find anywhere else she went there, and also came out in tears having been given a fringe that wouldn't have been out of place on a Lego character.
I will never go back to this salon again, and strongly recommend you avoid it like the plague.

The salon had a good atmosphere and was busy the staff were quite friendly. During my blowdry my hairdresser managed to burn the top of my ear by holding the hairdryer too close he then dropped the hairdryer on my head – not the best experience!

There was a bit of miscommunication when telephone booking was made due to incorrect name being taken down. After all the confusion was clarified, finally the hair cut went ahead. The final outcome was satisfying.

I had a highlights and a cut here by a young blonde woman who was very nice and attentive. The colour was pretty good and the cut was OK The cut didn't have the attention to detail I get with my usual hairdresser (Layla from Saco- Covent Garden) but I paid about a third of the price here. I would definitely come back here for a highlights as it was really good value with the voucher and they have ongoing deals.

I paid £25 for Haircut with Kérastase Treatment Ritual 1 plus Head Massage. I waited and waited, after half an hour the consultant apologised for the delay and lead me to my chair . She was not friendly at all, I would never go to see her even if it was for free. When she finished and I handed them the voucher she said that "the treatment was free because I had to wait" but the treatment was part of the offer! I was stunned but just left without saying anything, it was not worth it as I knew I would not be coming back!

The treatment was a mask so I couldnt possibly comment on it. I have also forgot to mention that I specifically asked the girl to blowdry my hair so she adds volume. I repeated it several times but it was extremely flat and when I told her that I wanted a volume, she snapped that it was because of the treatment I have had! I was not happy with the result and her attitude, I wanted what I asked for but left dissapointed!

Sorry you had a bad experience! Thanks for posting about it and I hope it doesn't put you off using other deals in the future!
