Write A ReviewI booked to have my colour done with a 50% voucher. I was told on booking the cost would be £28 and the discount applied to one service only. The stylist was very helpful in advising what colour would work best and told me that she was also going to use a conditioning treatment on my hair. I thought great. The stylist implied there was no additional charge for this treatment however, I asked to confirm and was told that treatments started at £15 and went up to £30. I decided against the treatment and the stylist continued to push the treatment. It became a bit uncomfortable and like a hard sell - it made me wonder whether she was on commission! I expressed I didn't want to spend the extra money. Before washing out my colour, I was asked whether I wanted a rough dry or blow dry. I said blow dry. She blow dried my hair well and I was happy. When I came to pay the total was £71, £28 for the colour and £43 for the blow dry. I'm disappointed not to have been told about the additional cost of blow drying which even compared to top hair salons is excessive. I've left feeling ripped off and disappointed won't return on this basis. Watch out if you think you're getting a good deal with the 50% voucher! I paid £35 in Headmasters for colour and a blow dry a couple of months ago.

I really wanted to like the place because it looks so good from outside and the actual welcome was great. I booked on the current introductory 50% offer and was greeted on the phone by a very impatient receptionist. Not expecting too much, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to meet an unaturally friendly receptionist checking me in. He offered refreshments and even asekd if there was anything else he coulod do that would make my visit to the salon more comfortable. Nothing could however prepare me to leaving with one of the worst haircuts I have had in years. I was in fact so unhappy that I had to take to the scissors myself at home to at least even out the front a little as part of damage control. I find it even more annoying since I specifically asked the hairdresser (I will not mention her name as it would be unfair in case I am the only mishap - which I hope does not happen often at her senior level) not to cut the top of my hair short but only eben out the sides. It took me months to grow my hair the length it was. Once she finished, I noticed that the front looked a little odd compared to the sides which I mentioned to her. She said that this would be evened out by using the correct styling product. The sides and back were all short and I was only left with about 50 longer hairs (yes I could count them) that formed some sort of tail in front. This bit of hair looked stuck on and blew from side to side in the wind. It felt like some sort of pendulum version of a 1960's beaded door curtain. Needless to say, I was not happy but, at the same time, I did not want to go back in case they would make it worse. Only when I got home did I see how bad it really was - she created an arrow shape that started at my (admittedly receding) temples and continued pointing towards my nose. Not wanting to be seen with the bizarre shape on my forehead I have tonight taken a pair of household scissors and tried to correct the mess myeself. I will cancel my follow-up appointment a.s.a.p. as there is no way in hell that I will let her as much as near my hair again. Other people might be happy with the experience but I sure am not a happy customer. I have in recent months been to the soho salon, harrods and tommy guns which are all London based and have been so much happier with even their worst haircut. I do not know how long it will take for my hair to grow back but I will from now on be more careful with who I let take care of my hair.

Do not go to this Rush Salon Baker Street Sam coloured my hair blonde and it looked brassy after a week so I went back and he bleached my hair again and I had to pay £100 for his time. After 3 weeks it has gone dry and brittle and thin so I went back again he offered do bleach it again they do not do refunds. Sam would not stop chatting chatting and he kept asking his other hairdressers what to do not very experince and not professional.

Great for the price - nice salon, big and airy. Wide selection of drinks offered on arrival at salon. Hairdresser was very nice, really quick and was happy with the results! Have already booked a return visit!

Just awful! I went to Rush for highlights and a haircut. Whe I arrived I was kept waiting over 15 mins, there was no apology. I was then introduced to Amy, who would be doing my colour and also the therapist cutting my hair, both separate therapists. I went through what I wanted in my cut. Amy didn't seem to be that interested in what I wanted. She spent a lot of time chatting to other threapists and dealing with other customers. At one point she took me to the basin, put toner in my hair (she hadn't mentioned she was going to put toner in my hair!), then left me at the basin, with my head over the basin for 15 mins without saying anything. After my colour, I was then introduced to Lucy who would be cutting my hair, this was not the same therapist I had met earlier!. The highights and cut took over three hours.
Very poor customer service. I would not return!

Heading towards New Year I desperately needed a hair cut and due to pressie buying didn't have much spare cash. Spotted Wahanda in the Metro and thought I'd give it ago and what a great experience. The Rush Salon at Baker Street is clean, modern and spacious. My hairdresser was an Aussie lady who did a fantastic cut exactly what I wanted with no fuss. She recommended products that could help my ongoing battle with London hideous hard frizz inducing water without pressuring to buy. Thanks Rush and Wahanda well recommended!

went to this salon as I was looking for a new one. therapist was late arriving for work but the other staff and the therapist when she arrived we apologetic. was very pleased with the cut I received I think she paid a lot or attention to making sure it was cut right. received a hefty discount on my next cut to the late start of my appointment. would go back again.
