Have you been here?
After having been before and having my earring tugged out (and blood pouring down my face as she continued on cutting) I don't know what possessed me to go back. Maybe it was that the salon is in a quick and easy location for me to get to, and that my mum has been with no problems whatsoever - which is clearly a positive.
On the day I had my hair washed and cut. The stylist did not bother to brush my hair out properly, and despite the fact I had asked for layers in my style she completely disregarded this and chopped my hair as to a style she thought would suit me (which it didn't). The resulting cut was mismatched and not even. When she had finished she asked how I would like it styled, when I told her I'd like it curled to which she replied that she didn't know how to curl hair. Gasp. At those point I was doubting her hairdressing skills.
After having my hair straightened, which I did not want, she asked me how it was etc.. Unfortunately I did not notice the full extent of the damage until later, when I had already paid her.
When I got home I noticed patches of hair that were not the same length as the rest (I don't mean layers I mean that the bottom of my hair had the occasional patch that was quite noticeably a different length). I then called the salon to complain and ask what they could do and how much it would cost to fix the damage.
I was offered a free cut later that day. When I was on my way back to the salon I was caught in heavy rain, and obviously my hair was knotted and soaked when I got there. I received a disgusted stare from the girl who cut my hair earlier, I guess that is to be expected since I'd just complained about he work. When I sat on the chair she didn't bother to ask what I wanted instead she just went straight into chopping the ends off my hair! This was also before she brushed my hair - my hair was full of wet knots. After this I was so annoyed and was working my way up to say something.
The lady at reception smiled and apologised for my inconvenience, I also wasn't offered my money back, and before I had the chance to say anything the stylist disappeared into the back. How they didn't notice my hair still full of knots I don't know, and to not say anything if they did is ridiculous.
At the end of the day, I recieved what must be one of the worst hair cuts I've ever had, if not the worst, a definite close second behind the one with my earring being ripped out. Both of these may I
add were from this hair salon.
