I had a bad experience else where ,so was treated very well, the staff were loveley polite and curtouse, the stone masage was amazing and she listened to me when i asked her to be more firm with the masage. the pedicure was perfect i dont like anyone touching my feet and it was heaven. the facial was revitalising and my face looked healthier and fresher when leaving, the head masage was a disapointment but other people may benifit from it. when i came out and relaxed on the beds with a glass of fresh orange and then herbal tea, i had a blanket over me but felt my feet freezing could have done with my cosie toes on maybe next time. FAB FAB FAB

I used vouchers here that I received for christmas, I kept them especially for a good friends wedding in August to receive a spray tan and a pedicure for the occasion. The pedicure was classed as luxury because I received a french polish, but it states on the price list you receive for a plain pedicure : Includes shaping, buffing, cuticle tidy, nourishing foot cream, base coat, two coats of colour and top coat for feet that glow! What happens to the base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat included in the £28??!!! I would have thought the french manicure replaced this. Instead I got charged £37. So I paid £28 for shaping, buffing, cuticle tidy & nourishing foot cream (which was a tiny bit of cream applied over my feet with one sweep). I have never heard of the like in my life. The fake tan was the WORST fake tan I have ever received and I have had a lot of fake tans. I was so upset as it was such a mess, my hands were covered in it and my legs looked diseased. I had big streaks all over my legs and arms. I had to pay someone else to fix this a few hours before the wedding. The whole thing was a nightmare and very stressful. Don't go to this over priced establishment for a tan or pedicure if you have a special occasion, you'll end up regretting it and be very out of pocket. I would like to say the therapist was lovely.

not to go at all! overall attitude was shocking! We went as a group of 8 and not 1 of the mums would return again! reconsider going here, we were to have a full manicure but because we were "6 minutes" late we only recieved a file and polish!
The shop itself is lovely to look at and i have always admired it when walking past, however i know better now!

I have been to PURE several times now. I was very impressed by the spa and massages. The ambience was relaxing and the treatments were extremely good and I was impressed by the before and after care, including the end of the treatment wehre you are invited to enjoy a fruit juice and relax on a comfy chair (especially good if you were with friends I thought).
So I went back again for a bikini wax. This wasn't so good. The therapist did not seem to know how to efficiently wax, my hands were covered in wax, as was the bikini area after the treatment (i discovered how much so when I went to the loo). The wax felt very warm when going on and after the treatment the whole bikini area was very sore and itchy. The hair left was wonky and not at all even and there were LOTS of hair left at a length that really should have been removed by waxing.
I felt this was not acceptable so I wrote a letter of complaint to the salon and they could not have been better at responding. and sorting the problem out. hey apologised and offered a follow up appointment to sort it out. I was offered an appointment with Maggie who was VERY efficient, the wax was less hot and the finish was even and I was very happy. And I had none of the soreness after.
So I would very much say go to this salon for the spa facilities, but not so much for the waxing other than Maggie is very good at it and I would go back to her again.

Have been to pure twice and would not go again. The first time I went although the girl did a good job she was extremely unfriendly and barely spoke when I asked a question. The 2nd time, quite the opposite with a different member of staff, very friendly however had no idea what she was doing and left me in a lot of pain. Will never use this place again.

I can HIGHLY treatments BOTOX TREATMENTS with Dr Scott Allan at the OceanTerminal Spa.
The best Botox treatment you can wish for. Not only very professional, Dr Allan listens exactly to what you are all about and takes everything you want to achieve into the equation. Not at all like many botox clinics who will sweet talk you into doing stuff you do not really need.
He is not after making loads of money, but after meking a costumer happy.
If you think about having Botox, he is the Dr to turn to.
Dont fall for half qualified people (I did twice unfortunately), who make false promisses, charge huge prices and have not even got a medical degree.
As I have a very complicated medical history, he made SURE that the treatment was save for someone with my condition(s) and did some PROPER research into my illness before doing anything. If it would not have been save for me he would have send me home. No clinic I consulted before did even take that into consideration, they would all have gone ahead regardless of my complicated and rare disease. (Apart from one dentist, who though highly qualified was too expensive for me!)
Dr Scott Alan is very professional, kind and the treatments are painfree. For a top up after my holidays, I was not even charged, as I was so anxious to get too much the first time.
Best Botox Doctor in Edinburgh....even for people who can only afford a luxury like that for birthdays and x-mas.

Unfortunately I have not experienced the spa side at Ocean terminal but I did visit the salon side for a back massage. Freindly staff made me feel welcome and my therapist was very nice and gave me a fantastic back massage. great to pop in when the shopping bags are getting a bit too heavy great way to take a wee break.

Pure was the 1st spa i had ever been to and as such was feeling nervous about my visit. As soon as i reached the front desk i was made to feel at ease by the friendly reception staff and the calm ambiance of the spa. My theraist was fantastic explaining everything to me and ansering all my questions. I will definatly go back to pure again!

Ocean Terminal is a lovely place to have a spa. I used to live nearby and was often in Ocean Terminal but i never actually went into Pure. Does the spa have windows so you can look out over the Forth? It sounds like you had a good time, what treatment did you have?

I had a fantastic visit to this spa with my boyfriend. We both had massages and felt very relaxed after wards. Our therapists where very attentive tayloring the massage to our needs and listening to what we had to say. We chilled out in the relaxationroom afterwards it was just bliss!
