THis was a present for my daughter and her freind for her 19th birthday -we were stopped in the street and offered buy one get one free so thought ideal for a birthday gift ! paid for the photo and makeover -then had to pay £50 booking fee which I was told I would get back ermmmm still waiting !
then came the really hilarious piece of misell I've ever come across
Rang to confirm as per insructions then the hard sell begins if I paid £60 pounds there and then I would get an extra photo each for the same deal so paid the £60 so in total I paid £60 which they doubled to £120 plus £50 plus £25 = £195 then day before shoot call from ID - do you want to double up and pay more money for more photos ...... so I asked how much would it be for a ! cd with all the photos on the guy sadi £100 -so I said well I'll have that rather then the photos - then came day of the shoot - daughter wouldn't let the stylist cut her hair as didn't look old enough to be qualifeid photographer moody and shouted at them - then next day went back to 'view' and were sat in a room and made to complete credit froms to pay for 2CD's at a cost of over £200 plus what I ahd already paid ! my daughter rang me in tears I had to get me husband to come out of work to sort it out - short version it's a scam and no where near as profeesional as ventura photos at least there you know what you are paying for ! really really reallly disapointed

New id burligintons is the biggest con artist company in newcastle today! get people to buy vouchers for 25 quid but some days they are 50£ "buy one get one free" for all these people that believe they are getting a special offer think again! not only do they add a £1.75 charge to your bank card per voucher for perchause! they dont tell you the in and outs of booking charges! each voucher needs to add another £25 onto their cards whilst making the appointments! you then come through to the salon and get stylist cutting your hair with a lack of experience some less (no nvq 1 2 or 3!) also the hygiene of this company is apouling! toilets are filthy sinks off the wall! wood coming away! wires all over hazord! the moment you walk into this place they try sell sell sell! push you into it without you even knowing makin it out that your getting a goood deal! they print their photos off at jessops and buy some frames from wilkinsons so 50 pound for a standard print you can get you self for less then 10! dont let this year make yous all be fools watch out for the chat up lines trying to sell this deal to you dont do it money is better off in your own pockets these days! and this is from some one that experienced and worked their so yes i do know what im talking about! STAY AWAY!

I have to say that New ID really are a million and one times better than the two other so called make over companies that I have used and I mean a whole heap better, not just a bit better for a start the products are well better, one company I used, well their makeup was like rubbing olive oil all over your face, I had spots for weeks afterwards , on top of that they are a lot more organized ad have way better, more professional and friendlier staff, much nicer boutiques, and a lot more free booze as well! The other places I used were like a cattle market in comparison and the waiting around in between having things done was so irritating. You don't get that with New ID, it all ran like clockwork and the team really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and involved with what you are having done rather than the 'this is the way we are doing your hair and makeup weather you like it or not' attitude of the others.
Because the other two times I had a makeover I had such a completely rubbish time I was pretty tempted to never go again but I got this voucher as a gift as part of a group of us and felt that I had to go and I was really amazing, I could not believe that companies offing the same things could offers such different levels of service.
My advice is that if you are going to have a makeover and want my advice don't use anybody other than New ID, the photographs are of a far higher quality as well.

I had a super duper mega fantastic time at New ID Studio Photographic The staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel really comfortable and at ease throughout the whole experience, even during the photoshoot that was the only bit that I was nervous about, as much as I was looking forward to it I have never had my pictures taken by a professional photographer before and got a real hit of nerves both the night before and a few minutes before I went in but the staff were great they really reassured me and made me feel a whole lot better about it. I never thought I would feel so confident in front of the camera, its not like having a photo taken anywhere else and you sort of feel like every part of you is going to be scrutinized but everybody is so friendly and you feel so confident with your new appearance it seems like the most natural thing in the world to be doing.
I was really impressed by the quality of the pictures, they were a lot better then I ever expected and unlike some of the reviews that I have read I felt under no pressure to buy anything, I was simply shown the picture and given plenty of time to choose the ones that I wanted, they even did me a special deal so I could have all of the ones that I wanted.
I cant criticize any aspect of the experience. The atmosphere in the studio is excellent and really gets you into the swing of things, the hair stylist did a great job of my hair just as the make up artist did a great job of my make up and it was hard to believe it was me when I looked in the mirror to find a much younger looking more glam version of me staring back at me, the difference it makes is quite astonishing.
I especially loved the hair products that are from Burlingtons and make your hair feel fantastic and I left the studio feeling like I was walking on air and had a lot more self confidence than I did when I went in there, I felt taller and walked taller and knew that this experience had done wonders for my fragile ego.
I whole heartedly recommend this experience to anybody and I certainly recommend New ID who made my experience extra special and I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making me feel so welcome and making me look so amazing

Our experience having a makeover and photoshoon session at New ID was absolutely wonderful. It was a few months ago and I still smile when I think of how wonderful we were treated. The girl that helped us was so sweet and I feel so sorry I can't remember her name, but she helped us choose how we wanted to look and gave us a hand with co-ordinating our outfits so we would look good together and gave us heaps of other great fashion and makeup advice that we both use and has made us both look really super.
I certainly don't agree with a couple of negative reviews which I came across during a Google search. There are not many but the ones that are there I find hard to believe if my experience is anything to go by, I don’t think some of them can even be true.

This was one of the most wonderful experiences my family has ever had. We all felt pampered.. All the staff made us feel like we were at a spa and our finished photographs had a touch of something magical.. I don't know how they do it but we all felt like a celebrity during the entire process and photo session.

Our family has had photo sessions done many times at other studios and most were just adequate. If there is one negative point, it would be a wish that this studio existed when our children were young. I just know our photo-takes would have gone a lot smoother. It makes me sad we can't turn back time and do this all over again.

If you are going to New ID I advise you to just relax and let them pamper you. It felt like a very special and once in a life time experience. I hope you will feel the same magic.

I was not expecting miracles at all from New ID, far from it, I thought because it was so cheap to go and have a makeover there it was going to be one of these cut prince things that I was really going to regret going to and on top of that the pictures were going to be rubbish.
I got in and was immediately impressed by the salon and its staff who were friendly and courteous, my booking was handled professionally and I started to wonder why it was so cheap.
The next thing was a very informative consultation where it was established that I would go for an evening look with the sort of Smokey eye thing going on that I have never been able to achieve by myself.
The quality of the hair cut I thought was superb, I have had a good hairdresser for the last few years but she is off on maternity leave so I was wondering what I was going to do, but now I have a new one I a not even sure that I want to use my old faithful again, how bad is that.
I loved the makeup and I really liked the way they took time out to show me how they did it and I am pretty confident that I can get the same look again.
I was feeling very confident in the photo studio which was unexpected to say the least but that just goes to show how good the makeover are and really do what they say they are going to do on the website.
I really enjoyed the photo shoot and by the looks of the pictures during the viewing session they are as good as I could have ever expected. I have not had delivery of them yet and can hardly wait for them to come so I can get on here again and tell you all about them.

I wish that I had discovered New ID a long time ago and certainly before my wedding where my hairdresser totally stuffed up my hair and the beads fell out half way through the ceremony, our makeup (me and the bridesmaids) might have looked fine on the pictures but looked rubbish in the flesh and the pictures were seriously overpriced and nowhere near as good as the ones New ID too. I had never had a professional photographer before so just went with a local guy, I really regret not shopping around now.
New ID do a fantastic job on makeup, I have never felt so beautiful and I know if I am ever going to need professional makeup again it is them I am going to be going to. I finished my makeover just after lunch and sent out all afternoon and in the evening and my makeup still looked great when I got home, it seemed such a shame to take it off, I was almost tempted not to to see if I could get away with making it last another day! LOL I think partly the durability was down to the expert application but also the products seem to last a really long time, I brought a mascara, lip gloss and blusher and all three last a lot longer than any other cosmetics that I have used in the past. They are really good value as well, I can see mine lasting a long time because in the case of the lip gloss and mascara once it is on you don’t have to keep re-applying it.
The photos session for me was the best part of the day, I loved all of it but the guy that took the pictures was really good fun and me made the photo shoot really good fun too. When you consider the guy takes pictures all day every day I think it was great how he made me feel unique and it was like I was the only person that had been in there that day and I know what was not true.
I didn’t meet anybody there on the day that I went that didn’t enjoy the experience just as much as I did. I had a wicked time and I cant wait to go back and do it again, all I have to do is save up to by some more of the awesome pictures

I agree with you the New ID site says that makeover can work miracles, well I would like to amend that to they DO work miracles, or at least they did for me.
I have never considered myself attractive and have had pretty low self esteem all my life, mainly due to being the ugly duckling in a family full of gorgeous people and over the years the postman being my dad joke really started to get me down.
I suffered from bad skin for a long time but last year I got a dermatologist that sorted that out for me so things have been looking up.
After going on holiday and coming back with a pretty good tan I bumped into a guy that I had not seen for a long time and he said how much better I looked than he remembered and I thought right, this is the time when I have to make the most of what I have got.
My friend suggested New ID and I booked online and went along to see them.
I had a great consultation for my new look and I decided to not only have my hair cut and styled but to have some lowlights and highlights put in and really go for it.
I had kept up my tan by using sun beds and was already feeling better about myself but the new hair cut and colour made so much difference it was like I was looking at somebody else in the mirror, it was more than a miracle I couldn’t believe it.
I then had my makeup done and was even more amazed than I was after the hair, my eyes looked huge, my skin looked radiant and I looked and felt really pretty.
Having spent a lifetime hiding from the camera and cringing every time I did see myself in a picture it was the most liberating experience of my life actually wanting to be in a photograph let along a lot of them under lights in front of a professional photographer.
I was dreading seeing the pictures because I felt so good having them done and didn’t want the bubble to burst by seeing that I didn’t look that good on film but I looked even more amazing and feel like I was give a massive sack of confidence rather than a makeover.
I have never looked back from going to New ID and it totally changed my life!

If you read what it says on here it says Makeovers can work miracles, well yes they can!
If you want to get rid of the middle age frumpy blues then do what I did and go and have a makeover with these people, they are fantastic, the people and the makeover that is.
I was fed up of feeling like a dinner lady and a Mum and a wife and wanted to give myself a treat for once and do something for me. I felt like I had been giving it all to my job and my kids and my husband and there was nothing special for me, only me making them feel special all of the time, which is rewarding in itself but just now and again I think every woman needs something that is just for her.
So off I went for my treat and I loved it.
I love my kids don’t get me wrong but it was really nice to take a few hours, about five, out of my life to just have some me time.
The staff in New ID are really lovely, they take care of everything you need and chat away to you as if you have known each other for years. New ID is one of the most friendly places that I have been to in a long time and I felt very comfortable in the surroundings.
The New ID makeover is a very well organized experience and one section naturally flows into another. Everybody that was there the day I was seemed to be having a really good time.
The studio has a really nice atmosphere, there is quite a lot going on, there is music and chatting, I was starting to wonder if I could get a job there it must be lovely to work in an atmosphere like that.
Anyway, my makeover make me look and feel like the new woman that I wanted to find. It was great, I felt so confident in front of the camera and I am not normally a very confident person but here I seemed to come into a different part of me it was lovely.
Unfortunately I couldn’t afford too many of the pictures so I only brought three but I did get a free one as well as part of the deal.
I felt like I had so much more to give to my husband and kids, and job, just by taking some time for me.
I think a makeover is something we should all do once and New ID is a great place to have one.

I can not afford a holiday this year but I still wanted to do something to get rid of the winter blues.
I have been feeling really low since all of that bad weather last year, I love to be in the sun and I think I get SAD when I don’t!
I booked myself a course of sun bed treatments and started to feel a bit better but I wanted something just a little bit more to treat myself and feel that something special had happened at least.
I decided on the recommendation of a friend to go and get a makeover session with New ID.
I was already sporting a pretty healthy looking tan from the solarium and didn’t really feel that I wanted a huge change of image but I did think that a few hours serious pampering followed by some pictures of me looking fabulous might be just what I needed to put the smile back on my face and as it looked like there was no way I was going to get any holiday snaps this year this would be a find substitute so off I went.
I was amazed how cheap the deal was that I got online and not only that but if you buy one deal you get another one free, I am yet to decide if I am going to use this for another session myself or use it as a gift for one of my friends or family.
Anyway, the salon is great, its really upbeat and friendly and the staff make you feel really welcome and really special.
You get a bit of an interview to start off with where you establish the reasons you want a makeover and you get chance to chat and tell them what sort of look you are after and what you like about yourself and don’t like and what you like and don’t like in your new look, its quite revealing actually and a very good eye opener.
Then off you go and have your hair washed, dried and styled and then you have your makeup done and before you know it you are off in front of the camera with a bag of your favorite clothes and its time to go!
I loved it, I am a bit of a extrovert at the best of times so this for me was right up my street, the sad part was that I was enjoying it so much it all went really quickly but oh it was just excellent fun.
Choosing the pictures is a nightmare and I did feel that had I not been pretty strong I could have been persuaded to buy a lot more than I did but I stuck to my budget and came away with some great choice that I cant wait to get delivered.
Its not a holiday but having a makeover is the ultimate self treat!
