New ID Studios Manchester 4.4 40 reviews

Just got back from a makeover day and photo shoot at Id studios Manchester, I went with my daughter after purchasing a deluxe makeover package for two.
I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of all the staff, from the moment we entered right through to leaving. The hair stylists, makeover artist and the photographer made you feel extremely welcome, and soon put you at ease.
The photographs were stunning and the only difficult part of the day was deciding which of the photos to buy, if money was no object we would have bought them all!.
The photos are expensive and we had to shortlist our favourites, we just thought it would be better to offer a package with all the photos on a disc rather than actual printed ones. (they do offer single photos on a disc, but to get them all on one would be better, and cheaper!)
Would I go again, .... no, would I recommend to a friend,.....Yes, (bank balance says no)
We have to wait four weeks for the piccies and again if they put them on a disc you could take them home with you, which would be better.
Hopefully the picture quality is as good as the day has been and we can cherish them for years to come.
Give this company a try, but do go midweek if you can because it is quieter and they can spend even more time pampering you and making you feel like a star.

A few months ago, my morning routine was simple - get up, shower, shampoo and air dry, go to work. Not any more. Since I had my makeover at the New ID studio and salon where they worked there magic on me, now I have to get up, do my hair the way I was showed how to by the staff at New ID. Because I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I now have to live up to the standard. I have even started using product, which I never did before. Inside New ID is an awesome photography studio. When i took my pictures there my photographer had all these ideas and worked around with my ideas. All the pictures came out great, It was hard to choose my favorites! They're all so incredibly nice and make you feel right at home when you go there! So if you haven’t had a makeover before this is the place to go. They make you feel comfortable and the environment is awesome!!!! For sure if you want good creative pictures go see them at New ID. All my pictures turned out great there wasnt one picture that I hated. i love them and me and my boyfriend are soon going for a deluxe makeover photoshoot for two. And when I do iam going to get the extra prints and even one of the photo albums which were lovely but I wasn’t going to buy it myself when I can make my future husband buy them for me. Thank you New ID I appreciate what you did for me so so much.

If you can drag your man or persuade him to come and have a makeover then do because it is great fun and also very romantic.
My neighbor, who I get along really well with took her husband to get a makeover with her, I think she had about as much trouble getting him to go as I had getting mine to go but we got there eventually. Once you get them through the door they are more than happy to stay because the staff at New ID are really great with guys, they are great with women too, but typically we actually look forward to this sort of thing anyway, the staff made us both feel really comfortable and the glass of Champagne Bucks Fizz as soon as we got through to door helped quite a lot too.
We both had superb hair cuts, I have used Burlington’s before for my hair but Tony had not, but even he had to admit it was one of the best cuts he has had.
Tony was not remotely interested in wearing any make up but in the end he did let them go with a little bit of powder, just to even out his skin tone, he did make me promise never to tell anybody but then he wont know that I have done this review.
He read the paper while I had my makeup done but I did catch him glancing over from time to time and I could tell by the look in his eyes that he loved my look as much as I did.
We went into get our picture done, the first one or too we felt a bit strange but we soon got into it thanks to the really cool photographer that made us feel really comfortable.
We had a really hard time picking out the pictures as were all so good and we did actually spend a bit/quite a lot more than we intended, it was really worth the money though and we both loved the experience

I would love to have four makeovers, I have only had one but I cant wait to go back and get another one, this is such an amazingly unique experience and it does really put the smile back on your face.
I had put on heaps of weigh after quitting smoking by basically binge drinking and eating like a horse and I am sure all the benefits of quitting were wiped out by that but eventually I started to get back on track and when I felt almost back to normal I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate my journey.
I had a look online, I was going to go for the fashion makeover but I though to hell with it and figured I would treat myself to a deluxe makeover, it was not that much more expensive.
I was a little shocked at the price of the pictures, when I had a look on the website and phoned them up to find out how many of them I was obliged to buy and was amazed to find that you don’t have to buy any of them and you get a free one, so really it could cost you virtually nothing, there is a postage charge on the free one but it is only a few pounds so I felt really good about the whole thing and walked in to New ID feeling very relaxed and quite excited.
I had a consultation first and then a hair cut, both the lady that did the consult and the stylist were very friendly and I got along with them very well. The make up lady was ultra friendly and showed me how to make my eyes look a lot bigger it was pretty miraculous really.
I stepped into the photography studio feeling very confident indeed and had an excellent photo shoot.
The pictures came out really well and you could tell how relaxed I felt by looking at them. I loved the whole experience and cant wait to go again.

Yesterday I had my fourth makeover with new id so I think now I can honestly say that I am addicted to makeovers but the thing is they are not very expensive, ok the pictures are but there is nothing to say that you have to buy more of those than you can afford and it is a great way of trying out new looks and new styles and new hair styles under the careful eye of professional people that want to help you look as good as you can possibly look.
Since I have been having makeovers with New ID have had a lot more confidence in myself, I have learnt so much about makeup and now I can do all sorts of different looks for myself and as I have been loosing weight I have a great record of how I got down from a size eighteen that I was in the first makeover to a size ten in the most recent one and what I love the most about the whole thing is that I look as good in the first one as I do in the last because what New ID teach you is that no matter how old you are or how big you are you can still make the best of yourself and you can still look amazing and most importantly of all you can still feel amazing and every woman deserves to look and feel her best.
New ID is great, the Burltingtons hair salon at New ID is so great, if you don’t want a makeover I still recommend that you go and get your hair done there, I swear buy them now and will never use anybody else, the products are great too, really cool and by that I mean hair and makeup, I have a box full of New ID cosmetics that are not at all expensive, they are great quality, they last forever, they come in a great range of colours and you can buy them online as well.
New ID is one of those things that I think people use far too much for a special occasion where really if you are clever about the products you buy you can enjoy them one a year or once every six months to give yourself the boost that you need to look good all the time

I had a totally marvelous time with my sister having a makeover and photographic afternoon at New ID, it was a right laugh, I think for a start we were by far the oldest people there, we are both in our late forties, but we didn’t care, we are the kinda chicks that don’t let our age get in the way of anything, never have and I don’t suppose we ever will!
We had no real reason for going to have a makeover its not like we gained or lost weight or fell out of some relationship or even had low self esteem issues, we just like doing things once in a while that are good fun and a little beyond the ordinary and this seemed like a really great thing to do, on top of that we managed to arrange the appointment so that it came on the same day as wedding party so we knew that as long as it worked out the way we had planned it we would make a grand entrance looking stunning and that is exactly the way that it turned out, one think I know for sure is that I look a million times better in professionally applied makeup than anything that I can do myself so in future when I am going out for a special occasion I am going to use the services of New ID just to get my makeup done.
As well as that I am going to continue to build up my collection of New ID cosmetics which are great and better than a very well known more expensive brand that I using, I would have brought the full collection there and then but I chose to spend every last penny on the totally gorgeous and amazing pictures.
I have never had such a crack as I had with my friend having our pictures taken, I don’t know how the photographer did not want to tell us to leave to be honest we are a bit loud at the best of times but you know what he really held it together for us and gave us some totally awesome shots.

I think that New ID makeover are great value for money, I mean when you think about it you can go onto the New ID website go to where it says photoshoots then click on last minute deals – you can get a makeover and photoshoot for as little as twelve pounds fifty and when that deal includes a welcome consultation, professional makeup application, hair styling (dry), photoshoot, private viewing session and a free print as well as free drinks the whole time you are there and that includes alcoholic drinks then how can that not be value for money. If you add up what it would cost you to go and get your hair styled, get a professional makeup artist to do your hair, hire a private photographer and buy champagne and orange juice it would come to way more than ten times that amount. And if you pay for your pictures before you go they double your money for you as well so even though the pictures are not what I would describe at cheap doing it that way certainly makes it affordable and you get one for nothing anyway, all you have to do it pay postage.
I cant understand what people think is good value for money these days because to me this is outstanding value for money and way cheaper than just having your hair styled. Beyond that you get great service, the makeup is really high quality, the studio is great, you get a private viewing session where you get to choose the pictures that you want with the help of a viewing person, I mean what else could you possibly ask for? Anybody that thinks getting all of this for just over a tenner is wasting their money in my mind must be mad, when you think what you can actually go out and buy for ten quid it really is not much is it! If you only had the free picture here you would be getting the deal of a lifetime.

Sorry I can not not mention that its waste not waist of money! I cant believe that it would take three hours to put on makeup, come on, you could have plastic surgery in that amount of time!
I am sorry that you had a bad time, I had the total opposite, I was late getting to my appointment and there was no drama with that what so ever, as planned I got the consultation on arrival, where the look that was going to be created was decided.
Then I was promptly taken over and introduced to my stylist who created a very nice hair style for me, it was not one that I have had before but suited me and I was very happy with it.
I was then given a short break to enjoy a glass of wine before being taken down to makeup where I had a very nice session with a young but enthusiastic makeup artist who did an excellent job of my makeup and made me look better than I felt I had looked in years, she chose some colours and techniques that I have never used and they really made a marked difference to my appearance, I was really very happy.
I had a short break before I went into the studio for the photographs, no more than ten minutes, a group of four had just come out and you could tell by the look on their faces how much fun it was, I immediately hit it off with the photographer who took some stunning pictures that I was really happy with and brought way more of than I ever had any intention of.
I think New ID are great and a makeover is a wonderful boost to your moral anybody that feels like they might need a bit of a lift would be well advised to try this experience, I certainly came away feeling very confident and also very happy that I had learned something about makeup that I could use in the future.

What a waist of money, what a ripoff. Myself and 6 friends where all booked in for our photo shoot by a street gang. When we got to the salon/ studio we was told we could not have a shoot as a group. So after 15 mins of discussion we was then told we was to late for our hair cuts (we was on time for our cuts) 2 hours later we had our cuts but was ready for make up. Make up took a extra 3 hours, this took 5 hours as only one stylist and one make up artist. 5 hours late we had a photo shoot but in 2 groups as was told we could not have as one session. The photographer that we had was the same for both shoots but funny we could not save time and do it as one. We then was waiting another 30mins to watch our images on a big screen only to watch them on a slow, small pc. In first viewing we went in as a group of 3 and offered all images on CD for £2,500 pounds Only. We all said no "it's a joke". We took our free image and left waiting for our other friends also in a viewing. When our friends came out all holding a cd. I ask how the viewing went all said great got a full cd for £50.00 each. Big big difference £150 to our £2,500. When asked to speak to the manager about massive price difference she said pends on the deal for the day, funny we all came the same day. I was then informed by a passing staff member all depends on who needed to hit target and who didn't.
I will never ever return to new id ever and feel sorry for anyone who does go.

I don’t think you can beat the feeling you get from having a makeover, it does wonders for your self confidence that was the entire purpose of me going, I had been a bit depressed and feeling a bit blue so a friend of mine suggested it might be the pick me up that I needed and it was.
I was gong to play it safe and not go too dramatically different but when I got there I decided to throw caution into the wind told them to just go for it and give me a really smoldering evening look, which they did.
I didn’t want to do anything to dramatic with my hair as it is not long since I had foru inches taken off it and I sort of regretted that so I just got them to tidy it up a bit and they did a very nice job of it.
They say that a change is as good as a rest and I have to agree even if that change is just wearing some really different makeup, I felt great and like a new woman with
dramatic eyes and luscious red lips! I went for really different colours in makeup than I would normally wear and came away looking and feeling like a totally new woman.
I really enjoyed all of the pampering, I loved the free flow Bucks Fizz and having that really adds a touch of luxury to the day, it was great.
It was really nice to be made up to look really glamorous and for somebody who is normally pretty shy in front of the camera I got out there and really went for it and I felt great doing it too. Its hard to describe exactly how much confidence you can get from being professionally made over so I will just hope that this review will inspire somebody to go and try it themselves because I am sure anybody would get as much out of it as I did.
