I loved the look that I got on my New ID makeover, it really gave me a glimpse of just how good you can look with the right make up, brushes and a bit of know how! The New ID cosmetics are awesome. When I had my make up done they used i-glow that is hand baked which makes it really smooth and it gave me a really radiant look, I loved it so much that I brought some and you can put it all over your face and neck and shoulders and it gives you a seriously awesome golden look and I personally think that it was the best 22 pounds that I have ever spent. The other thing that I just had to buy was the lip line pencil, even with lip liners I have always had problems with lipstick bleeding but not anymore! If you use it all over your lips you get a really rich colour from your lipstick as well and I find if I use it with lip gloss it holds the gloss in place for a lot longer. I also treated myself of an i-conceal that is like a pen and its really easy to use on small areas, its so easy to use and doesn’t look obvious like a lot of concealers that I have used in the past that actually draw attention to the very thing that you are trying to hide! How many of us have had that problem!
I really loved getting my makeover and the photoshoot was brilliant they really know how to make you feel comfortable and get you in positions where you can really show off your best assets.
When you have been made up by a professional and you have a great new hair cut you get so much confidence and it’s a lot easier to get out there and give it all you have got in front of the camera. I felt so good I didn’t feel even in the least bit nervous and I really expected that I would!
I found the viewing session totally amazing and could not believe it was me in the pictures. I went for a scene album for my pictures, it takes 13 pictures and comes in a box that made of wood and converts into a frame so you can show which ever picture you feel like on the day.
All in all I think that the New ID is a fantastic experience and I am really glad I went, I loved everything about the day and I cant stop looking at my pictures.

My opinion of New ID
Website – superb, this is a great site with lots of information, nice video, before and after shots and great deals.
Booking – very easy, buy a voucher online, get the pack that contains all the info, phone up and book.
Customer service department – very good and helpful people, efficient, honest and polite.
Salon – busy but good fun, nice atmosphere, great decoration, clean, oragnised and nice buzz
Staff – all great, really friendly people, happy, chatty and show an genuine interest in what they are doing.
Makeup – application – fantastic, loved what they did for me. Products – superb, I brought loads of their own brand cosmetics that are way better than a more expensive brand that I was using before.
Hair – great cut, one of the best I have ever had, love Burlingtons, will us them again for sure
Photo studio – fantastic, great backgrounds and props. Great fun, lots of interesting lighting.
Photographer – great guy, really knows his stuff, very chatty and friendly and very good at getting you to relax
Photos – awesome, great composition and really nicely done
Viewing session – awesome, very relaxed and no hard sales, the guy was very friendly and not at all pushy.
Overall service – superb, I would use this company again without a shadow of a doubt and would be more than happy to recommend them to anybody.

I thought the New ID experience was fantastic and really amazing value for money. I thought the makeover was very comprehensive, the facial was superb, and I was impressed with the amount of tips and advice the professional makeup artist was willing to part with to make sure I continued to be able to look my best even after the makeover.’
The hair salon is amazing, the lady that washed my hair gave me a head massage at the same time, I really enjoyed that, it was superb. I had a nice cut and the lady that blew dry my hair did an excellent job on it, have never had a straightener put through my hair before, I quite like having a bit of a wave but the way they did it looked really classy and elegant and I am going to order one online and try to do it again myself, I was very impressed.
I liked having my pictures taken but not as much as I thought I would, some of the poses that the y tried to get me into for me seemed a bit childish, I think they were after fun shots and something quite modern and not too serious where I really wanted some sort of portrait shots but I got those too, I was happy with those but to me it seemed like a bit of a waste of time doing all the other ones as well as I told them that is not what I was after.
The follow up to see the pictures was great, I didn’t get the hard sell, they, of course are going to get you to try to buy as many of the shots as they can get you to buy but they did it in a very nice way so I would be very happy to recommend this makeover experience.

I was presented with a gift voucher for a deluxe makeover with New ID by the people that I work with and I thought to myself hey up this is a bit odd, what are they trying to say here, but after I had a look online I thought to myself, well actually this is looking like it could be a lot of fun so no matter what the motivation was for them to send me on such an experience I was determined that I was going to enjoy it and enjoy it I did.
I arrived at the studio at 9am sharp and was shown to a seat, given a drink, I had coffee as it was far too early in the day for me to start hitting the Bucks Fizz, although it was still nice to be offered, and after about five minute of filing in forms I had a chat with a sunny girl who went over what was going to go on and I was then shown down to the hairdressing part of the salon.
I had my hair done and then took a seat again for only a few minutes before it was time to go over and have my makeup applied, that took around twenty minutes during which time I basically interrogated the young girl into giving me more information and advice than I think she has even given in such as short space of time but she was really lovely and answered all of my questions so that was great, I felt like I had won a bit of a bonus prize there.
I then went back over to the hair section and got the finishing touches put to my hair, a bit of a spray and just like that it was over and into the photographic studio that was fun and cool and interesting and not at all the intimidating experience that I thought it might be and I felt very relaxed and in the pictures I looked very relaxed.
It was about half an hour before I was called in to see the pictures and then had a very difficult choice as I was so impressed with all of the pictures. I think New ID do a great job and I would recommend them to anybody

I have been to New ID three times the first time I got just one large two hundred and fifty pound picture and my free print, the second time I got the ornate frame that I had 1 x 12x16, 2 x 10x12 and 8 x 6x8 pictures and the final time which was last week I got the CD so I can use the pictures for online dating.
The first time I went to the Birmingham Studio, that is in Cheltenham House in temple street, the second time I went to New ID at Manchester that is in De Quincy House in Cross street and this last time I went to Cardiff with my sister who lives there and that is in Windsor House in Windsor place.
I think between the three studios I like what is different as much as I like what is the same.
The actual photo studios are all a bit different and that is good because you get different backgrounds and different looking pictures, the salons themselves are all a little bit different but what is great is what is the same, the high quality service, the friendly staff, the great products, the free Bucks Fizz, the great atmosphere and of course a really great makeover. You get Burlingtons expert hair dressing you get New ID amazing makeup artists that really know their stuff and you get to look and feel amazing.
It has been quite interesting going to the different salons in the different parts of the country and it has been good to discover that they are all really great and really worth going to and all have the same high standards but have their own unique feel about them.
I can not speak highly enough of New ID and think that anybody and everybody would enjoy a makeover

I had no idea just how much a Makeover could improve your self confidence until one day when I was in the office a colleague at work suggested that go for one, I had been upset after comming out of a 17 year marriage and this lady had gone through a similar thing and her daughter had taken her for a makeover and she said it really made her feel better about herself and she hoped that it would do the same for me.

I considered a few different companies before I chose New ID that was recommended to by another friend how said her neighbours daughter had used the one in Cardiff and she had nothing but good things to say about them, I always like to choose things based on personal experience so I went ahead and booked wit them.

On the day I booked there was a special offer online where you actually pay for the pictures before you go and that way you get twice as many as you pay for, I know from other people that you always want to have as many of the pictures as you can so I had no hesitation on taking them up on this deal and went ahead with the deposit from my credit card.

I was really pleased that I chose New ID as they are a great team of professionals who are dedicated to making not only a great day and experience but a to giving you a whole new look. I was very impressed with the time taken over my hair and more so my make up where the lady who took care of me really explained what she was doing rather than just slap it on.

I loved my hair cut and style that was very different to anything I would normally have gone for but have to admit that it really does suit my face and has given me a whole new look to play with.

The photography is fantastic, the pictures are lovely, really good quality and the photographer managed to get some really flattering shots, I was very impressed and enjoyed being photographed way more than I imagined I would, but then having a great hair cut and some professional make up does wonders for your confidence.

Finding yourself single again after any amount of time in a relationship is never easy but take it from me, if you want a boost to your confidence and have a little bit of money set by then this really is a great way to give yourself a lift and watch the jaws drop when you get home looking like a new woman. The men in my local made a huge thing about my new look and it did me the world of good.
All in all and excellent experience

Unless you have quite a lot of spare cash or a lot of space on your credit card do not go to New ID. You are going to want to buy every single one of the pictures believe me! I did and I ended up spending a fortune, I don’t regret it because the pictures are so good but you wont be able to resist and I really wish that I had more money to start off with because its going to take me forever to pay off my credit card bill but there is no way on earth I was going to leave without every one of those photographs, well OK every one of them is a slight exaggeration I did spend about 600 pounds more than I anticipated!
New ID is a great experience, having a make over really does give your ego a boost which is exactly what it says on the website, I didn’t think that it really would do much for my self esteem but it did wonders for it.
I am not sure what sort of camera they used but for some reason I looked about 15 pounds lighter on the pictures. I did try to make clever use of clothes that make me look slim but I looked way slimmer than I really am in the very beautiful photos!
I really enjoy being I the studio, there is a great and lively atmosphere, it was really good fun. I was lucky because most of the people there that day were about my age and all really chatty so it felt like being out with a bunch of best friends.
The staff were equally lovely and make me feel and look fantastic.
I had the best hair cut that I have had in years, the friendly girl did a really good job of it and the makeup was just as lovely.
The photo studio part was a lot smaller than I expected but the creative use of backgrounds was really ingenious and looked great on the pictures.
I went for the CD rather than prints and frames as my main motivation for going was to get some pictures for my online dating, so that worked out better for me, plus I can print them off and get them framed at a later date if I feel like filling my house full of pictures of me looking like a goddess!

It hardly seems worth adding to this site as there is already so much positive feedback about New ID but I had a particularly good experience and I hope my review will encourage anybody like me to go a long and enjoy it just as anybody else would.
I have had acne all my life and really bad acne, I have tried every kind of treatment there is and taken tablets had peals, creams, lotions, healing, a treatment out of Asia that literally bunt layers off my face and for the last five years I have finally managed to keep it under control. The problem is now that I have a great deal of scar tissue and pitting on my face and have never in my life wanted to see my face on pictures let alone go and have a make over.
This was until I met the man of my dreams and he asked me to marry him and I knew that there was going to be no photo free wedding and had no idea what to do about it. In fact I stressed so much over it that my skin had a bad turn again and I felt wretched.
My friend suggested that I get a make over with New ID has her daughter has some blemishes on her skin and had the same camera shy thing going on as me, although her problem is no where near as bad and she said that it did wonders for her as not only did having the pictures of her looking great give her some confidence they also taught her how to apply her make up to minimize the look of the problem.
I walked into New ID rather than trying to choose a package on line and told them exactly why I was there and what I wanted and they were fantastic about it. They did me a deal where I would get a make up lesson that was combined with a photo shoot and it went far better than I had planned.
I have never had a fringe in my life but the New ID hair stylist said that it would be a great way to hide some of the more prominent scarring on my forehead and I was actually surprised how well it suited me.
The make up was wonderful and it was hard to believe when I look in the mirror the difference that it made. I also got a lot of really helpful advice on how to look after my skin and cleverly hide the occasional break out and it is not even that difficult and I only wish that I had learnt these techniques years ago.
Because I felt so good I really shined in the pictures and even though I had a couple airbrushed out some of them were even just fine the way they were.
I am now really looking forward to all aspects of my wedding and not dreading the photos either.
New ID have given me a whole new lease of life and a whole lot of confidence and I am very greatful to them for not only helping me but the kind and considerate manner in which they did it.

Do not be fooled by New ID. They steal your booking fee even though you refuse to use it. This was given as a present and booked by someone else. The booking fee needed to be refunded as the person who paid was not even present. It didn't matter though, they still took the £50 from her bank account. Check your receipt before leaving as they took the refundable booking fee, (not paid by us and even though I vehemently refused to use it when asked) they went ahead and added it to the bill as if we had. But we weren't even given any extra pictures. They do not offer you your free print as stated in their advert, but fob you off with a disc and then they charge you £50 for the privelige. Their prices are ridiculous. The facial was a joke I still dont know whether I actually had one or not. If wiping your face with a cotton ball constitutes a relaxing facial then sorry, I missed it. A few swats with the make up brush later and I was told I was done. I had to ask why they hadn't touched my hair. The manicure means a slap of nail varnish and bingo! You're ready to get fleeced. Beware! New ID are con artists and they spoilt what should have been a wonderful present with their deceipt.

I would also like my chance to rave about New ID
I had a great time and was really impressed with what they have to offer.
To start off with the atmosphere is so relaxed, nice big comfy sofas to sip bucks fizz on and go through books of hair and make up so you can get a really good idea of what you want if you didn’t already know when you walked in.
I got shown lots of before and after shots that were really impressive and make me feel really excited about what was to come. I was also really inspired by the people coming out of hair and make up before me who all looked really amazing and gorgeous with impeccable hair and make up.
There were lots of people there but a no point did I feel that I was not being taken care of and was given the chance to fill in a form asking what I did and did not want and was obviously a great way for the artists for get a feel for what you wanted rather than just guessing and leaving you disappointed.
Both the hair and make up artist went over the form before they started to sort of confirm what kind of look I was after and then went to work and the transformation had begun.
What particularly impressed me was the way the make up artist managed to hide every blemish and imperfection on my face, even though I went for the natural look with minimal use of make up it was still flawless. She easily chatted me through how to do this myself and it was nice to feel that I had learnt something as well that I could take away with me.
The hands were a bit disappointing to be honest, a very brief file and not really enough nail varnish to last more than just for the shoot, I do think it would have been better if a bit more effort was put into it but I suppose you cant have absolutely everything.
I got total stage fright during the photo shoot but the 30 something photographer really did put me at ease and after only a few minutes I was going with the flow. I had three outfit changes and by the last one I was really into the swing of it, its probably best to save your best outfit for last if you are like me and a bit shy because they were by far the best pictures because I had started to really feel it. After the shoot I had a bit of a wait that was pleasantly accompanied by a few glasses of bucks fizz and then it was choice time, and its so hard to choose!
Its quite a good system though, first you go through and discard the ones that you definitely don’t want and then you pick from the ones that are left, I knew I was going to want more than I could afford and it is a very difficult choice when you have so many good shots to choose from but I got there in the end and was very happy with my selection.
All in all I would say other than the nails I was pretty much 100% happy, well done New ID.
