I purchased the voucher over the internet, for highlights, cut and blowdry which was very quick and easy to do.
The staff were very welcoming on arrival to the salon and remained kind and considerate throughtout mine and my daughters appointment.
The salon itself was very spacious, clean and warm. 5 minute walk from the train station.
The staff were constantly offering beverages and making you feel special.
They gave professional advise on which hair colours would blend with your natural colour and tips for managing our highlights/new style.
Our hair styles were cut to a high standard and remained in shape for 6 weeks.
The whole experince was very enjoyable and we have already booked our next appointments

they cancelled my appointment 2hrs before it was due on 1sr feb 2013 as stylist was ill and never offered to rearrange. i found them very rude on phone too. I will be writing to express my dissapointment with the company.

Well, as soon as me and my friend came into the studio we were treated in a rude manner, we felt rushed and the staff explicitly made clear that they had hardly any time to style and colour our hair. (Is this our fault?). Then when we were choosing which hair colour we wanted we were given hardly any time to do this and within a few minutes they mentioned again that they had hardly any time and that we had to quickly decide what we wanted, which made us feel not welcome. Then the hair stylist Paul Davies pulled at my hair very harshly, I even told him it was hurting, ignoring this he also did not listen to how I wanted my hair to be cut and just chopped my hair so quickly and cut it shorter than what I wanted. Paul was very rude and treated us in a bad manner. Another client who came in before us also told us she had just experienced the same treatment from Paul. Other than this the makeup artists were very friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our look. I have never been treated this way and the treatment was ridiculous.

I brought an offer off KGB for a half head hi-lights with cut and conditioning treatment. I was booked in with Charlie, who turned out to be very friendly, chatty and full of ideas and compliments.

I was very pleased with my whole experience.

I went and got a makeover after I got back from my holiday and was uploading my pictures and looked at myself during the evening shots and I looked like something off the rocky horror show and my hair looked like it was fresh out of last decade!
I simple search on google got me to New ID and then I headed off to their special offer pace and there was a great deal for a Deluxe makeover and photoshoot in Birmingham, that is only just down the road from me.
When I had a look into that that included I was amazed to find that it not only included hair and makeup and the photographer it also included free drinks and a free picture, I have no idea how they do it for that price but there was no way that I was going to miss out on it. I had had a look at the picture prices and found them fair enough so I booked it.
I got to New ID around ten am, it the salon was very busy so they gave me some forms to fill in and then half an hour later they came to start my makeover I was thinking here we go it is going to be a lot of waiting around all day but it was not it was pretty seamless from then on in and it went really well.
I was really happy with what they did with my hair and my makeup, I got an attack of nerves when I stepping into the photo shoot room, I could feel myself going really red and to be honest I wanted to be sick, I was so scared that one of the girls had to have her picture taken with me the first couple just to get me over my nerves but it was great the way that they dealt with me and in the end they could not get me away from the camera.
I had such a great time and now I have some pictures I can feel really proud of!

Really loved the make-up and ended up buying some even though it was expensive and I had no intention of doing so before the session.
Good to have one to one tuition even if the make-up skills were a little advanced for me.

I went on a bank holiday so the salon was pretty empty which was nice. We agreed on a colour for my hair but the final outcome was a little different to what I expected and the hair dye was left all over my scalp when I walked out the salon. It took me about 6 washes to get it off my scalp which was pretty annoying. Other than that once the colour washed out a bit I started to really like the colour and the cut was fine. Overall I might consider going back but would ask the stylist to be careful of my scalp!

I had a very different experience at New ID to this one. I thought the salon was really nice. I arrived about 10am and a lovely girl greeted me and booked me in. She was really nice and gave me lots of information about makeup and hair and what would be going on that day. First off I had my hair done and they did a lovely cut that suits my face perfectly. I had a great blow dry and set, not too much product either but it stayed in pace for the whole shoot. Only ten minutes after that was done I went and had my makeup done and that looked really great as well. Then I stopped for breath to have a Bucks Fizz cocktail and it was straight off into the photoshoot. The salon was old but it was clean and nicely decorated and I thought it was very well laid out. I had plenty of time to chose the shots that I wanted and did not get any hassle of anybody about anything. The cost of the shots wad laid out there were no hidden costs and it was all fine. I would be happy to go here again and happy to recommend it to anybody who fancies a bit of a spruce up and a very nice few hours in a warm and friendly environment.

Having had the deluxe makeover experience with New ID I would say that this deal so far is one of the best value for money experiences that I have had. I loved being at New ID and got a very warm welcome from all of the staff. I think for hair and makeup and a photo session and a private viewing session and a free print and endless free drinks this is possibly one of the best fifty pounds that I have ever spent. I was incredibly impressed with all of the salon staff who clearly love their jobs and that makes for a really great atmosphere. The makeup range is fantastic and I am looking forward to building up my own collection as well as going back for a makeup lesson. I have always thought I was pretty good at putting the old slap on but boy did it look tones better when they did it. I also loved the hair dressing part of this to the point where I will not go anywhere else from now on to get my haircut. The photographer I had was very encouraging and I felt completely comfortable with him, even when I decided that I would go for the lingerie shots that I was unsure about before. The prints are not cheap but very high quality and I for one though this was a great service all round.
