I have been going to Monks Spa for the past 5 years, it is truly a beautiful place to unwind and forget the stresses of life. The staff are amazing, they cannot do enough to help you and the food in the restaurant is top quality. The views are just stunning, its a perfect way to unwind and you cant ask for more. You cannot beat the spa for the high quality treatments and the products they use. I am making my way through the menu of treatments, you really have to try them all!!!!
My friend and I are regular users of the Spa and we really would highly recommend it to anyone, I cannot wait to go again in September!

When you pay for a high value treatment at a spa the expectation is that for a reasonable extra fee you can use the spa facilities. In many spas i've visited the facilities are at your disposal for free if the tratment is £40 or above . Not here, you can't pay to use the spa no matter how expensive your treatment, they insist that you pay for a pamper day and since the spa is so small and there's no pool it's really not worth it.

I visited Machynys Spa with a group of friends on a Sunday. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. We were handed are Spa bags including a towel, robe and slippers, unfortunately they were all one size, which didnt fit one of the ladies in our party. We approached the staff who apologised and gave another bag which included a robe of the same size, As you can imagine she was very embarressed!!. I assumed small, medium and large robes would have been available, maybe your preferred size could be checked durring the booking.
The spa is very small, we decided to 'chill out' in the 'chill out room'.We soon discovered the beds were full, which was not suprising as there was only 6 beds.We asked the staff if there was anywhere else to relax prior to our treatments, we were shown to a room with five upright chairs in, which we all agreed was not how we imagined our chill out time to be. The treatments dispite a mix up with treatments where a voucher had be given for a later date, were infact very very good. The whole party were happy with all the treatments booked.
The spa area itself is very small which Im sure is great during quiet periods, however the spa on this day had over 30 women booked in. we therfore felt we had to move around the spa quite frequently to ensure everyone could use the facilities. I would not visit this Spa again on a weekend!!
