The venue was spotlessly clean and had a great relaxing ambience. The therapists were pleasant and friendly. They were very professional and explained the procedure to me, as this was my first Rasul. It was truly relaxing and I felt totally refreshed. I had a great time, the service was the best ever. I'm looking forward to going back again and I would highly recommend this spa. Thank you!

My cousine and I went to the Mayfair Spa about a week ago. I must say it was absolutelly perfect! The staff was lovely, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere in the Spa is so relaxing and we just loved the candle lit relaxation room!
The treatment we had was called Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual. It takes place in a private steam chamber and includes amazing products which leave your skin baby soft.
All in all just a wonderful experience which I can only recommend !!!!!!!!

The voucher was for a day at 5* spa in Mayfair. It wasn't cheap. The original price of £80 was even more shocking. All there was was a room of 3 different shower heads and a steam room and sauna that were not as good as the rooms at my gym. There was a relaxation room with some chairs and herbal teas also. Where was the jacuzzi? Where was the pool? Totally mis-sold for that kind of money. The staff ranged from great to shocking, of the 3 we met one was nice, one was ok but unprofessional and the last was downright evil. She tried to chuck us out 30 mins early so she could go home and was one of the rudest people I've come across in my life, we ended up reporting her to the manager who was apologetic, but nevertheless a ruined experience. I would not go back if you paid me and neither would my friend.

What a perfect afternoon at the Mayfair Hotel! My second! Spa was relaxing and staff were courteous. As for the treatment, we were left in our steam room to perform the ceremony, just perfect setting with my partner. Skin felt never this good after scrub and mud treatment. I would certainly recommend this and will be doing this again. And the price was a bargain for the location and facilities. We were offered a beverage on completion.

What a lovely and relaxing spa!
I had booked the Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual for me and my friend and absolutely loved it. This detox treatment is done in a private steam room and left our skin baby soft.
I can only recommend this Spa and the treatment!

I must first say that I have never had a moroccan mud treatment before and since this was my first experience, I probably went in with wrong expectations and this is probably more a review of the treatment itself than the spa or staff. I wanted to have a relaxing treatment for my boyfriend and I and thought this would be a nice treat. The staff were nice enough but the facilities are very small, the ladies locker rooms were just ok and I would've expected alot more for the Mayfair hotel, the relaxation room was nothing much, and when it was time for our treatment we were given an explanation of what it was and then left to do it ourselves. This is not what I expected and to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect. So we had to slather ourselves with three different products as quickly as possible and then jump in the steam room for 30 minutes and then wash it all off and to be honest it wasn't a realxing time for me and though my skin did feel really nice after, it's not how I would want to have spent a relaxing spa day doing and definitely wouldn't do it for the full price. I go to spas to have someone else do all the work and for me to relax and this was definitely not that. You live and you learn!

Chami I agree with you. I felt the same when I went with my boyfriend. The treatment would have been enjoyed better if we didn't have to rush and as we were both novices also a bit more guidance would have gone a long way in making our time more enjoyable. Is there somewhere else you would recommend?

On face value the venue seemed plush and luxurious...
Yet, both my partner and I left feeling more agitated and stressed than when we first arrived.
The treatement was meant to be 25 minutes long. I'm sure that we had hardly spent more than 10 minutes applying the mud-treatment upon our bodies when the showers were turned on to indicate the treatment time was complete. This involved our attendant having to enter our 'private' treatment room while we were both in a state of undress and covered in mud. This was unexpected and rather vexing at the time. As well, It all felt rather harried.
Somehow, too, due to a mix up of rooms and our feeling of distress after leaving the treatment room we didn't fully understand the proceedure that followed and thus missed out on the 'relaxation room' experience. The sauna/Steam room facilities, though lovely in appearance, had no ready supply of water and I became very dehydrated.
This really could be a wonderful spa experience, at a very nice venue. Today, though, wasn't relaxing and we didn't linger long.

The May Fair Spa is a lovely venue with low lighting, scented candles and ample changing facilities. The lady that explained the treatment to us was friendly and I was comfortable with asking questions. However the treatment that my friend and I booked was unusual in as much as it was a self-guided treatment i.e. we did it ourselve. The therapist explained what we should do etc and then left us to it. So I didn't feel that we received good value for money, even with the Wahanda deal.

Actually this was our second visit at Mayfair spa. The first one was on my partner's birthday for a chocolate bath (very similar to the mud one) for two. As I have hypothyroidism the lady that showed us our private steam room told us that if anything occurs we should press the intercom (emergency) button ( thoughtful, I said). after being there for 5 min almost no steam was coming out so I got outside to see if anyone was around but because nobody was there I pressed the intercom button three-five times, but nobody arrived. They only arrived when our therapy (after 15 min) was over and when I explained the situation they told me why didn't you call us with the button and I said that I did three times. We have been offered five extra minutes but the chocolate was just solid by then and the whole relaxation feeling was already destroyed. Not to mention what would have happened in a case of emergency.
However, I was fool enough to book again the Sunday retreat this time ( mud therapy/ steam room and 30 minutes massage). This time we have been told that there is a rain at the end of the mud treatment which apparently (as they told us) was supposed to be there the first time we visited the spa but it was not working. The treatment is quite short and during the whole time there were very very loud noises! Not only it was not relaxing but it was very disturbing. Again, I tried finding someone but nobody was around. When they came to tell us our time was over(finally as this was horrible !!!) I told them about the noises and they just replied " oh well, they are probably doing something" . No apologies at all! The massage was OK but when I asked for another bathrobe as the first one was wet, they completely ignored me. We have stated all the problems to the reception and they have apologised and told us that the manager is going to call us and apologise but she never did!
All in all, it is a small spa, nicely decorated but with this kind of customer service I would not recommend this place. it is very expensive and not only you don't get what you are paying but you may also leave being upset.. Very disappointed and an example showing that sometimes you shouldn't give second chances!
