For the sake of your skin and appearance -- avoid this place. I made the unfortunate mistake of having laser hair removal treatment here. The entire experience was traumatic, from the unprofessional aesthetician causing an inhuman degree of pain, to the after effect of her treatment.

Regarding my experience - I have had the procedure done before before I moved to New York and have never before experienced pain like this. She clearly did not have a sense of how to use the equipment.

As a result of this laser "hack job" she burned my skin and left an indented scar.

Please, for your own health, avoid this place and go ANYWHERE else, preferably somewhere with a licensed dermatologist on the premises.

When I showed up for my microderm appointment, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean office with a nice view out of the window. I got taken in the room for my service with Jeanne. She was so friendly, really knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable as if we have known each other for a long time. The service and results were great... my skin had a glow to it and felt amazing! The reception staff and everyone there was very friendly as well. In addition, the office was very modern with clean lines and glass doors. I can't wait for my next one!

This service was exceptional! My technician was an expert and gave great advice on my skin type and potential additional services I may benefit from experiencing. The Medi Spa itself was spotless and the staff at check-in couldn't have been more professional. The service itself started with a skin consultation and a review of the basic steps of the procedure. After a cleanse, the Microderm began and felt like a medium grain exfoliation. After a hydrating mask and 10 minutes or so to relax, I was on my way out and felt like a new person! My skin was glowing for days and I could see the lasting results of the Microderm through the coming weeks. Great service and great value, I would definitely indulge in more services here and will be on the look out for more great offers on Wahanda.

Madison Skin & Laser is on the 11th floor of the Madison Medical Center, so the place feels more like a doctor's office than a spa. I had purchased a Microdermabrasion facial treatment on Wahanda and made an appointment for midweek, so I was really looking forward to it.

It actually operates like a doctor's office as you check in at the front desk, fill out a bunch of forms, and then wait to be led to a room (more like a dentist's office now) :-) But the people are super friendly!

My practitioner, a lovely woman named Anita, came in and explained the treatment to me which involves using a diamond tip instrument to exfoliate the skin and also infuse the skin with at least 3 different types of topical treatments. After washing my face, the first microderm treatment involved salicylic acid (i believe that is aspirin), which helps with breakouts. Then Vitamin A & C, and I forget the third one, but the treatment involved using this pen like suction device to suck or exfoliate all over my face. I did not have any redness afterwards, but the treatment does feel like its working - kind of like a cat licking your face...a bit rough, but Anita assured me the exfoliation would do me good!

She then applied a calming mask, let that (and me) sit for 10 minutes, and then after a wipedown, I was all good to go. I was convinced to come back for a facial with her colleague and aesthetician (Jeanne), and so I will be back for that.

Anita was super professional, and amazingly nice. Although the center does not feel like a spa, it does feel like they know what they are doing, and the treatments are effective.

One last note - I tried to leave a tip, but Jose the operations manager told me that since they are more like a doctor's office, no need to tip. Hey, that was nice, but the staff are just great! I look forward to coming back
