The experience overall was far better than expected. The spa was wonderful, the food was outstanding and the service was very good. I visited with a friend so we were given a large room with 2 queen size beds which we were thrilled about! Being tired moms with 1 night off, our aim was to relax and unwind as much as possible and we couldn't have chosen a better location to do so. The only let down was the treatment. We got 10% off but neither of us were happy. We both had the full body massage and found it extremely disappointing. Having studied holistic massage myself I know how a massage should be administered and didn't feel the pressure was suitable, despite me asking the therapist a few times if the pressure could be as hard as possible. I understand that it was a general all over body massage and not a deep tissue but as I said before, I worked as a massage therapist myself so have a certain level of expectation. Perhaps we should have chosen a treatment that was more isolated like a back, neck and shoulder massage. So my advice to others is to avoid the full body massage!!! Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely consider visiting again.
