Couldn't fault it! - light, spacious, seriously chilled atmosphere with excellent modern facilities and super helpful & cheerful (actually glad to be working there) staff. An oasis of calm. Only suggestion I would make is if you are looking for a charming, romantic hotel this may not be the one for you. I had an amazing time with my friend but wouldn't go with my partner. Although excellent on every level they do allow quite large hen groups and so this denies any romantic feel to the resturant & bar area - maybe Lifehouse should section off a space for the roudy ones ;O)

From start to finish it was a lovely relaxing experience. The staff were really attentive and helpful. A lovely clean brand spanking new spa, that is great value for money. Food and facilities excellent. Can't wait to go back asap!

Really good value for money with the deal, the spa facilities are enough to keep you busy all afternoon, and the saltwater pool is much better than normal chlorine pools.
Overall a comfortable resort for a relaxing weekend.

I don't think I have ever written a bad review in my life, but I feel so strongly about the customer service I have received recently from Lifehouse Spa and felt I had no choice but to do so. As far as the spa and hotel go, it is nice but the spa area itself isn't very relaxing and didn't look very clean.

My complaint is about the food and the service; I booked my mom and sister in for this last Saturday for an overnight stay which included dinner. The food tasted nice enough but within 2-3 hours of eating I was violently ill and endured vomiting and diarrhea. At around midnight my sister called the porter to remove the bathroom bin and provide more toilet paper – I was mortified that the poor chap had to carry that bin but we had to get it out the room. He said he would mention the illness to management.

When we checked out nothing was said to me until I asked if they had received the message from the porter, the first thing the lady on duty said was ‘food poisoning takes 12 hours to take effect’, no sorry to hear you were ill, nothing! I disagreed with her as this is not true at all, but she was just adamant, I then had the duty manager come over and she said they would need to look into it and that nothing could be done there and then – so I had to pay in full for the meal that had made me so ill. They said one of the owners wanted to talk to me about it and would call in a few days. After a few days I received a call from one of the owners, and he at least said sorry for me being ill but in the same breath said it couldn’t have been their food and refused to take any responsibility!! I had been at the hotel since 1pm, had my lunch and dinner there – what else could it have been? He offered a discount treatment on my next visit to which I politely declined and requested a refund for my dinner – which I think is reasonable – he refused point blank saying it wasn’t the food and that was that! I commented that his customer service wasn’t very good and he pretty much ended the conversation …I’m still gobsmacked!

I was lucky enough to visit lifehouse twice last year and was pleasantly delighted by their new holistic approach to spa, having been to many other uk spas over the years. The cuisine was excellent, the best I have had at a spa, and the whole setting is fantastic. I went with a friend the first time and my 20 year old daughter the second. Both times were happily memorable and I am now booked in for my spring visit this year. No expense has been spared at this spa. The lakeside gardens are a lovely bonus and even the beginners boot camp is highly recommended! Go on, treat yourself now that their offers have begun!

I have visited Lifehouse on two occasions. The first time I went on my own. It was really easy to book my stay. I got there by train and they had a courtesy taxi waiting for me at the station. When I got there I was explained how everything worked at the spa, although I have to say the lady who did this made me feel very uncomfortable when she said "I admire you, coming here on your own. I could never do that". The room was spotless. The food in the restaurant was great, but I waited for my main course for 45 minutes, which it's not right.
The second time I went I had a nice stay with a friend, but we had the same problem at the restaurant, very slow service.

Lovely resort – very much enjoyed by myself and my mum for her 50th birthday. The treatments we booked (hot stone massage and facial) were great but even what was included in the deal was lovely – the meals, the communal areas and the room were all delightful and there’s lots of free activities, too! My first overnight spa experience and would definitely recommend. Totally relaxing, fresh place with wonderful staff.

I loved this resort! It is clean, peaceful, fresh and has everything you need to relax. I stayed over with a group and the rooms are perfect. The restuarant has absolutely fantastic cuisine, dinner was amazing, lunch was spectacular and breakfast was fantastic. The whole place is new and I recommend it to anyone. The staff are amazing, the smoothies are excellent they have really thought about everything. I used the gym which was fab, with really friendly intructors and also had a wonderful 50 minute massage with a delightful therapist. There are lots of activities that you can participate in such as yoga classes, walks round the grounds etc. You will thoroughly relax at this place. I cannot wait to go back to this place, the deals Wahanda offer are well worth it.

The setting is beautiful and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food is delicious and over all the deal was amazing value. I took time off for two days from work to de-stress and I can't think of anywhere better to have done so. Peace and quiet and stunning gardens - everything I could have wanted.
