This was AMAZING ... everything about the massage and the spa was brilliant. From the tips of your toes and fingers to the top of your head, every part of your body felt relaxed. 100% from me and i would definitely recommend this place to anyone who travels to Agadir. Well worth the money and MORE!

It doesn't do this place justice to begin with a cliché but les massages d'Argan is literally heaven on earth – or at the very least heaven in Morocco. If the smells, heat and markets are becoming a bit too much to bear, step into the seemingly unimpressive and discreet sanctuary that is les massages d'Argan. I did.

The spa is hidden down an unsuspecting street with graffiti lined walls so I was genuinely surprised when I stepped through the wooden door entry to a lavishly decorated reception and fully stocked spa shop. We were greeted with friendly and attentive staff who were all too eager to explain their signature products to the tourists. But first, the treatment!

Making our way up the narrow, candle- and lantern-lit staircase we met our therapists and were shown into the treatment rooms. There were three levels of treatment rooms, with two rooms and small bathroom on each level. It was a very dimly lit and intimate space and the artificial rose petals scattered on the massage tables added a nice touch to the sensual environment. We were all having a one hour full body massage treatment with Argon oils but didn't expect to share a treatment room. The three of us were ushered into the one treatment room (which made sense at the time as there were three massage tables) and asked to derobe by French speaking Moroccan therapists. Looking back on it, it was quite amusing trying to figure out how much clothing we should remove (which turned out to be everything bar the most minimal underwear), then turning to our respective corners of the room in a bid to undress modestly. Thank God for the dim lighting!

But believe me, any conservatives out there will immediately be stripped of modest concerns the moment the treatment begins. The therapist asked if we'd like medium or strong massage and I opted for strong (owing to my immensely painful back ache inflicted the previous day through a full day of camel riding). Using rich, moisturising creams on hands and feet and their lavish signature Argan oil all over the body, our environmentally worn bodies were receiving much needed devotion. Deep tissue techniques and unique snap-like movements around the legs, neck and shoulders hit the right spots and were interspersed with smooth, relaxing strokes.

When they say full body massage, they mean full body massage. Don't eat for at least a couple of hours before you go. I went not long after breakfast so my stomach was making some pretty funky noises when she massaged around my abdomen. I also found it a little ticklish around my chest and couldn't help let out a few giggles which the therapist found equally comical. Don't wear make-up either as they use the oils and creams on your face as well. It felt extremely rich at the time but I came out looking fresh faced (no panda eyes) and didn't feel the need to reapply my make-up for the rest of the day.

It was, hands down, THE best massage I've ever experienced (and the cheapest at an equivalent to £12) and my only regret is that I didn't ask for the two hour massage in the first place. After the massage we were covered in a warm towel with moist eye pads on our lids and left to relax and let the oils absorb into the skin for five or ten minutes. It was clear that I was not the only one who found the massage Über relaxing - my friend was snoring within moments!

I would go back to Agadir just to visit this spa again and try all the treatments! I stocked up on plenty of products from their shop. They have everything from creams and oils for headaches, stretch marks, anti-aging, sun-tanning and rheumatism to herbs for weight-loss, stress, insomnia, and snoring to air fresheners and make-up.

If you never go to the spa at home, it's definitely worth your while to give it a go here. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed.
